Wyze Labs Charge: What It Is, How to Refund and Dispute

A “Wyze Labs Inc.” charge on your credit card comes from Wyze, the smart home company that sells cameras, doorbells, locks, sensors, and cloud video subscriptions. The charge is almost always one of two things: a one-time purchase from wyze.com or the Wyze app, or a recurring Cam Plus, Cam Unlimited, or Home Monitoring subscription. If you bought through the Android app, the same charge may show up on your statement as “Google *WyzeAppAndriod” instead.

What the Charge Is Actually For

Wyze hardware ranges from about $6 for a small accessory to around $170 for an air purifier, with cameras falling roughly between $40 and $100. Doorbells, smart locks, scales, and monitoring sensors each have their own prices. Any of these can appear as a single Wyze Labs charge, usually larger than you remember once sales tax and shipping are added in. Orders that ship in more than one package can post as separate charges rather than one combined amount.

Recurring charges come from Wyze’s subscription plans:

  • Cam Plus: $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year, covering one camera per license, up to three licenses per account.
  • Cam Unlimited: $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, covering every camera on the account.
  • Cam Unlimited Pro: $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year, adding professional emergency dispatch, critical alerts, and services sharing.

An older plan called Cam Plus Lite, which let subscribers name their own price, is no longer offered to new users. If you signed up before it was discontinued, that plan may still be billing you.

Why the Charge Looks Unfamiliar

The most common explanation is a free trial that converted to a paid subscription. Wyze bundles trial periods with many hardware purchases, and the subscription begins billing automatically when the trial ends. The disclosure is made during initial device setup, which is when most people are tapping through screens as fast as possible.

Billing frequency catches people off guard too. An annual plan posts as a single $29.99 or $99.99 charge that looks nothing like the monthly price you remember agreeing to. If you added cameras one at a time on separate Cam Plus licenses, you’ll see several $2.99 charges instead of one combined bill, which can read like duplicates.

Temporary pre-authorization holds are another source of confusion. When you place an order, Wyze or your bank may post a small verification hold, often $0, $1, or $5. These are not real charges and usually drop off within a few business days, but they can briefly sit on your statement next to the actual transaction.

How to Stop Future Wyze Charges

You have to cancel through whichever platform you originally used to subscribe. If you signed up on the Wyze website or during device setup, log in at my.wyze.com, open your subscriptions, select the plan, and click Manage Subscription, then Edit, then Cancel Subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and does not renew after that.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Wyze cannot cancel it for you. On iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & Subscriptions. Find Wyze and cancel there. Until you do this inside the app store itself, the charges keep coming no matter what you change on the Wyze website.

How to Get a Refund From Wyze

Hardware bought directly from wyze.com or the Wyze app can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Contact Wyze support to start the return and they will send a prepaid shipping label at no cost. The refund covers the purchase price and sales tax but not the original shipping charge. Wyze does not charge restocking fees. Products bought from Amazon, Home Depot, or any other third-party retailer fall under that retailer’s own return policy, not Wyze’s.

For a subscription charge you believe was incorrect, contact Wyze support through the help center chat or by phone. Have your account email, the exact charge amount, the transaction date, and the MAC address of the associated camera ready. Subscription refund requests are evaluated based on how much time has passed since the charge, so asking promptly gives you the best chance. Approved refunds take several business days to post back to your original payment method.

Disputing the Charge With Your Bank

If Wyze will not resolve the charge, or you believe it is genuinely unauthorized, your card issuer is the next step. Your rights depend on whether you paid with a credit card or a debit card.

Credit Card

The Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date your statement was sent to dispute a billing error in writing with your credit card issuer. Billing errors include unauthorized charges, charges for items you did not accept, items not delivered as agreed, and incorrect amounts. The issuer must acknowledge your dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles, which cannot exceed 90 days. You are not required to pay the disputed amount or related finance charges while the investigation is pending.

Debit Card

Debit card protections under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act are weaker and time-sensitive. Report an unauthorized transaction within two business days of discovering it and your maximum liability is $50. Wait longer but report within 60 days of your statement date and the cap rises to $500. After 60 days, you can be held liable for the full amount. Move quickly with debit disputes.

Reaching Real Wyze Support

Wyze’s legitimate contact channels are limited to phone and chat through the official help center at support.wyze.com. The phone numbers are +1 (206) 339-9646 in the United States and +1 (581) 500-1166 in Canada. Live hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific, and weekends 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific.

Be careful with phone numbers you find through a general web search. Wyze is not affiliated with Wise (a money transfer service), WIZE (a wealth management company), or Waze (the navigation app), and scammers sometimes buy ads using similar names to intercept support calls. Confirm you are on support.wyze.com before you type in any account information.
