A number of individual zoos, aquariums, and cultural institutions have their own discount programs that specifically include WIC card holders. Prices range from free admission to reduced memberships, and details vary by location. Check the attraction’s website or call its membership office.
Some states also run cultural-access programs that accept WIC cards alongside EBT cards, typically through a state arts council partnered with local museums, theaters, and historic sites. Because these programs rely on state and local funding, participating venues change periodically. One boundary worth flagging: WIC participation on its own does not qualify you for the federal Lifeline phone and internet discount. Lifeline runs off SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, federal public housing, or an income test at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines.
