A charge from whop.com on your bank or credit card statement means someone using your card bought a digital product or subscription through Whop, an online marketplace where independent creators sell software, communities, courses, and other digital goods. The charge usually shows up as something like “WHOP.COM/PAY/” followed by a short code, and it rarely names the actual creator or product, which is why these charges tend to look unfamiliar even when they’re legitimate.
Find Out What the Charge Was For
Look at the full descriptor on your statement first. Whop charges typically include a short URL such as “WHOP.COM/PAY/ABC123.” Type that link into a browser and it opens a purchase details page showing the customer name attached to the order.1Whop. Whop Docs – How to Find Your Purchase Sign in with the email address shown, and you’ll see the specific product.
If the descriptor doesn’t include a usable link, search your email inbox for “Whop” or “order confirmation.” The receipt names the product, the creator, and the amount. Once signed in at whop.com, your profile page has an Orders section that lists every purchase, active subscription, and upcoming renewal date.1Whop. Whop Docs – How to Find Your Purchase
One thing to keep in mind: Whop acts as the merchant of record on the payment side, which is why its name shows on your statement, but the individual creator is who you actually bought from and who is responsible for the product itself.2Whop. Cancel a Recurring Subscription
Most surprise charges are renewals. A product you signed up for once can bill monthly until you cancel. Canceling stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.4Whop Docs. Cancel a Subscription
On a computer:
- Sign in at whop.com.
- Click your profile photo, then select Orders.
- Click the subscription you want to stop.
- Select Cancel membership.
On the mobile app:
- Tap your profile picture.
- Select Manage Orders.
- Tap the subscription, then tap Cancel membership.
You’ll get a confirmation email. Save it. If another charge shows up after that date, the email is your evidence for a dispute.4Whop Docs. Cancel a Subscription
Request a Refund
Whop routes refund requests through two different channels depending on what actually went wrong.
Duplicate or Unrecognized Charges
For a duplicate charge, an unrecognized transaction, or a currency conversion error, email support@whop.com directly. When Whop confirms a payment-layer problem, it reverses the charge to your original payment method, typically within three to five business days.5Whop. Buyer Terms
Product Wasn’t As Described
If you never got access, the product didn’t match what was promised, or you’re otherwise unsatisfied, the seller’s own refund policy applies. Submit the request through the Resolution Center:
- Go to your profile and select Orders.
- Under Billing history, find the transaction.
- Click the three-dot menu and select Request Refund.
- Explain why you deserve a refund and upload any supporting evidence.

When to File a Bank Chargeback Instead
Filing a chargeback with your bank is always available under card network rules, and Whop’s buyer terms don’t limit that right.5Whop. Buyer Terms It’s usually slower, though, and can lead to your Whop account being restricted. Try the Resolution Center for product complaints and support@whop.com for payment errors first. Keep the bank chargeback for cases where those channels don’t resolve things within a reasonable window, or where you suspect actual fraud on your card.
Extra Rights for EU, EEA, and UK Buyers
If you’re in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase for any reason within 14 days and receive a full refund. There’s one carve-out: if you began accessing or downloading digital content and expressly agreed at checkout that delivery would start immediately, the withdrawal right no longer applies. If you weren’t asked to agree to that at checkout, the 14-day window stands regardless of whether you’ve used the product.5Whop. Buyer Terms
