What Is the Rosie Travel Services Charge on Your Card?

A “Rosie Travel Services” charge on your credit card almost always comes from one of three travel companies that share the Rosie name: Rosie Holidays, a Fiji-based tour and transport operator; Travel By Rosie, the operating name of Canadian agency TravelOnly Inc.; or Go With Rosie, a U.S. family travel platform. If you don’t recognize the charge, the first job is figuring out which of the three billed you. If it turns out to be unauthorized or the service wasn’t delivered as promised, federal law and card network rules give you specific ways to push back.

Figure Out Which Rosie Billed You

The quickest tell is the currency the charge posted in, combined with any confirmation emails sitting in your inbox.

  • Charges in Fijian dollars point to Rosie Holidays, a Nadi-based tour, transfer, and transport company. Credit card payments run through Rosie Holidays carry a 3% surcharge on the invoice total.1Rosie Holidays Fiji. Sample Itinerary With QR Code
  • Charges in Canadian dollars point to Travel By Rosie, which books tours, flights, and accommodations through third-party suppliers under Ontario law and imposes a minimum $50-per-person fee for changes or cancellations before departure.2Travel By Rosie. Booking Terms
  • U.S. dollar charges processed through Stripe most likely come from Go With Rosie, a Delaware-incorporated family travel planner. Its terms allow it to bill the payment method on file for property damages, incidental charges during a stay, or policy-violation fees.3Go With Rosie. Terms of Service

Why a Legitimate Charge Can Still Look Wrong

Not every surprise charge is fraud. A few patterns come up repeatedly with these merchants.

Cancellation fees. Rosie Holidays’ cancellation penalties vary by supplier and can reach the full booking amount. One traveler reported being billed 100% of a $400 FJD booking as a cancellation fee after canceling for illness and weather.4TripAdvisor. Rosie Holidays Fiji Review The company’s sample booking documents confirm properties like the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay impose a 100% charge when a booking is cancelled or amended within 60 days of travel.1Rosie Holidays Fiji. Add-on fees at the point of service. A May 2026 review described being told at check-in for a jetboat and village tour that passengers owed an additional $30 FJD per person for a “petrol tax” that had not been mentioned during booking.5TripAdvisor. Rosie Holidays Fiji Reviews Travel By Rosie’s terms similarly note that baggage, seat selection, and airport transfer fees may not be included in base pricing and can be billed separately by suppliers.2Travel By Rosie. Currency conversion and surcharges. Rosie Holidays’ invoices in foreign currencies are valid for only 14 days, after which the company can adjust the amount to current exchange rates.1Rosie Holidays Fiji. Contact the Company Before the Bank

For most disputes, reaching the merchant first is faster than a bank claim, and for some legal remedies it’s required. In the Tripadvisor complaint over the $400 FJD cancellation fee, the traveler received a full refund the day after telling Rosie Holidays they intended to pursue a credit card dispute; the company’s Director of Sales authorized it.4TripAdvisor. Dispute an Unauthorized Charge Under Federal Law

If you didn’t authorize the charge, the Fair Credit Billing Act caps your liability at $50, and many issuers waive that.6Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

To trigger the formal process, send a written billing error letter to your card issuer at the address it lists for billing inquiries, not the payment address. Include your name, account number, the charge amount and date, and why the charge is wrong, with copies of any supporting documents. Your letter must reach the issuer within 60 days of the date the first statement containing the charge was mailed to you.6Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges Certified mail with a return receipt gives you proof of delivery.7California Attorney General. Credit Cards – Dispute a Charge

The issuer has 30 days to acknowledge your letter in writing and 90 days to complete its investigation. You can withhold payment on the disputed amount during that window without being reported as delinquent, but you still owe any undisputed balance.6Federal Trade Commission. When the Complaint Is About Service Quality

A different standard applies if the charge is real but the service wasn’t what you paid for. To assert “claims and defenses” against your card issuer over a quality problem, the purchase must exceed $50, you must have first tried to resolve it with the merchant, and the transaction must have occurred in your home state or within 100 miles of your billing address.6Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges The geographic requirement is a real problem for overseas travel purchases. Michigan’s consumer guidance states plainly that the Fair Credit Billing Act does not protect consumers in disputes over the quality of goods or services purchased overseas.8Michigan DIFS. Using Credit and Charge Cards Overseas

California’s attorney general adds a nuance worth knowing: for claims and defenses, you have up to one year from the date of the first statement containing the charge, but you can’t have already paid the balance in full. Once paid, this route is closed.7California Attorney General. Credit Cards – Dispute a Charge

Chargebacks Through the Card Network

Separate from the FCBA process, card networks like Visa run their own chargeback system. A chargeback typically must be filed within 120 days of the purchase, and you’ll need to show you first tried to resolve the issue with the merchant, along with receipts, invoices, and correspondence. Chargeback is a service provided by the network, not a statutory right, and the outcome turns on the evidence each side supplies.9Visa. Chargeback Purchase Disputes

Escalating a Rosie Holidays Charge in Fiji

If the charge came from Rosie Holidays and neither the merchant nor your card issuer resolves it, Fijian consumer authorities take complaints from foreign travelers. The Consumer Council of Fiji accepts complaints through its national helpline (155), by email at complaints@consumersfiji.org, or in person at offices in Suva, Lautoka, and Labasa.10Consumer Council of Fiji. Lodge a Complaint The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission investigates fraudulent and deceptive practices and can be reached at ceo@fccc.gov.fj or at 42 Gorrie Street, Suva.11Parliament of Fiji. Keep in mind that Rosie Holidays’ terms specify all disputes are governed by Fijian law and must be resolved in Fijian courts, which limits your options if administrative and credit card channels don’t produce a result.12Rosie Holidays Fiji. Terms and Conditions
