What Is The Live Limassol Charge on Your Card?

A charge showing “The Live Limassol” or any variant referencing Limassol on your credit card statement is almost always a recurring subscription to a fitness or wellness app run by a company registered in Limassol, Cyprus. The billing descriptor uses the corporate name and city rather than the app’s name, which is why it looks unfamiliar. In a smaller number of cases, a Limassol-tagged charge points to outright fraud routed through a Cyprus shell company. Either way, you can identify what it is, cancel the underlying subscription, and dispute the charge if you never authorized it.

Which Company Is Actually Billing You

Limassol is Cyprus’s second-largest city and a hub for app-based subscription businesses. Roughly 59 fitness and wellness tech companies operate in Cyprus as of mid-2026, with several of the largest based in Limassol.¹ When one of them bills your card, the descriptor may show only the legal entity and city, not the app you downloaded.

Welltech Apps Limited (and Actitech)

The single most common source of unrecognized Limassol charges is Welltech Apps Limited, registered at Karaiskaki 13, 3032, Limassol.² Welltech runs a portfolio of subscription apps including Omo, WalkFit, Yoga-Go, Muscle Booster, and FitCoach.¹ Web purchases for some of these apps are handled by a related entity at the same Limassol address, Actitech Limited, so either name may appear on your statement.³

Complaints about Welltech’s billing are substantial. The Better Business Bureau lists the company with 182 complaints over three years and an active “Pattern of Complaints” alert, with billing issues accounting for more than half of them.⁴ Consumers describe being enrolled in automatic renewals they didn’t realize they had agreed to, and struggling to match the descriptor on their statement to the app on their phone. One BBB Scam Tracker report from April 2025 describes a WalkFit user charged $25.99 whose app then failed to recognize their account and prompted them to buy a new subscription.⁵ A Google Play support thread about unauthorized Yoga-Go charges drew 256 users reporting the same problem.⁶

Montibus LTD (Slimkit)

Another Limassol operator is Montibus LTD, which runs the Slimkit fitness and wellbeing platform at slimkit.health. The company is registered at Spyrou Kyprianou 78, Magnum Business Center, 3076, Limassol.⁷ Charges may appear as “Montibus LTD” or “Slimkit,” and because the company uses third-party processors including Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, and Primer, the descriptor can vary further.

Simple and Others

Simple, a fasting and meal-tracking app that has raised $45 million in venture funding, is also headquartered in Limassol.¹ If none of these names match, look through your household’s phones for any recently downloaded fitness, yoga, walking, fasting, or meal-tracking app. That is almost always where the charge originates.

How to Cancel the Subscription

One point matters more than any other: deleting the app from your phone does not cancel the subscription. Billing continues until you affirmatively cancel through the channel you originally signed up on.³ You generally need to cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing period to avoid the next charge.

Use the path that matches how you subscribed:

Apple App Store: open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find the app, and tap Cancel Subscription.⁷
Google Play: go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select the subscription, and tap Cancel.
Website signup: manage the subscription through the app’s account settings, or email the company’s support address directly. Welltech/Omo apps use support@omo-app.io; Yoga-Go uses support@yoga-go.io; Slimkit uses support@slimkit.health.⁸

These companies’ terms generally state that web purchases are final and non-refundable, and direct app-store purchasers to Apple or Google’s refund processes.³ That said, Welltech’s contact forms offer refund request options with reasons like “I didn’t know it was an autorenewal plan” and “I purchased it by mistake,” which suggests some refunds do get processed when customers ask.⁸ Ask before you dispute.

How to Dispute the Charge With Your Bank

If you never signed up, or you cancelled and the charges continued, or the company won’t refund, you have the right to dispute the charge with your card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act.

Act within 60 days. Your written dispute must reach the issuer within 60 calendar days after the statement containing the charge was sent to you.⁹
Call your issuer first to report the charge, then follow up in writing to the billing inquiry address, not the payment address.¹⁰
Include your name, account number, and a description of the charge, along with any supporting documents. Send it by certified mail with a return receipt.⁹
The issuer must acknowledge your dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. While the investigation is open, you can withhold payment on the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent for it.⁹
Your maximum liability for unauthorized charges under federal law is $50. Many issuers waive even that under zero-liability policies.

If you think the charges are part of a wider pattern of fraud or identity theft, the FTC directs consumers to IdentityTheft.gov. You can also file complaints at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.⁹

When a Limassol Charge Signals Fraud, Not a Forgotten App

Not every Limassol charge traces back to a fitness app someone in your household signed up for. Cyprus-registered shell companies have been used in large international fraud operations, and the same city name can appear on statements for very different reasons.

In November 2025, Europol and Eurojust coordinated “Operation Chargeback,” which targeted a network that defrauded 4.3 million cardholders across 193 countries between 2016 and 2021, causing at least €300 million in losses. The scheme relied on shell companies registered primarily in Cyprus and the United Kingdom to process fake online subscriptions and obstruct chargebacks, and authorities arrested 18 suspects and seized more than €35 million in assets.¹¹¹² Investigators have noted that criminals favor Cyprus corporate structures because they obscure ownership and frustrate refund efforts, and that ready-made shells are sometimes acquired through “Crime-as-a-Service” providers.¹³

If the charge on your statement doesn’t match any subscription anyone in your household signed up for, and you can’t find a corresponding app, treat it as unauthorized. Contact your issuer, dispute the charge, and consider replacing the card so no further recurring charges can post to it.
