A Duomo charge on your bank or credit card statement is a recurring subscription fee from Duomo, a Bible study and prayer app that converts its free trial into a paid plan unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.1Duomo. Subscription Policy The quickest way to stop it is to cancel the subscription through your Apple or Google account settings, then request a refund from the app store where you signed up.
What You Actually Signed Up For
Duomo is a Christian devotional app offering Bible reading plans, prayer tools, and an AI assistant for interpreting scripture. It is published by Duomo App Limited, a company registered in Cyprus.2Google Play. Duomo: Daily Prayer and Bible The app markets a free trial on signup, and the price you’ll be billed is shown on the payment screen at that moment.1Duomo. Subscription Policy
Reported prices vary by region and plan. On the Apple App Store, listed options include roughly €10 per week, €23 per month, €45 for three months, and €80 to €100 per year.3Apple App Store. Duomo: Daily Prayer and Bible North American users have reported charges around $23 or $40 per month, and annual charges from $89 to $120.4Apple App Store. Duomo: Daily Prayer and Bible – Reviews If what you’re seeing on your statement falls in those ranges and matches the day your trial would have ended, the charge is almost certainly a converted trial.
One thing to know before you do anything else: deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. The billing continues until you turn off auto-renewal through the account that holds your payment method.
How to Cancel the Subscription
Cancel through the platform where you subscribed, not inside the Duomo app.
On iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Duomo in the list and either turn off auto-renewal or tap Cancel Subscription.
On Android
Open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments and Subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Find Duomo and cancel.
If You Subscribed on Duomo’s Website
Email support@goduomo.com and ask them to cancel.1Duomo. Subscription Policy
After cancellation, you keep access to whatever time you’ve already paid for. Only future renewals stop.
How to Get a Refund
Canceling stops the next charge. Getting back the money that already came out is a separate step, and where you ask depends on where you subscribed.
Through Apple
Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, select “Request a refund,” pick a reason, choose the Duomo charge, and submit. Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.5Apple. Request a Refund for Apps or Content

Through Duomo Directly
If you bought through Duomo’s website, the company’s money-back policy has strict conditions. The request must be made within 30 days of the initial purchase and before the first subscription period ends, and you must have followed your plan for at least seven consecutive days within those 30 days. Refunds are not given for “personal reasons,” such as the product failing to meet your expectations.7Duomo. Money-Back Policy
California and Connecticut residents may cancel and receive a refund if they act before midnight of the third business day after purchase. EU residents generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital content, though it can be waived if you consented to immediate performance at signup.7Duomo. Money-Back Policy
Dispute the Charge With Your Bank or Card Issuer
If the app store refund is denied, you can push the dispute to your financial institution. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, credit card holders must send a written dispute to the card issuer’s billing inquiry address within 60 days of the statement containing the charge. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. You can withhold payment on the disputed amount during the investigation, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent for that balance.8FTC. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

Your Rights If the Charge Wasn’t Properly Disclosed
If you believe the subscription terms, the trial-to-paid conversion, or the price weren’t clearly shown before you were charged, several rules give you leverage when asking for a refund or filing a dispute.
The FTC’s “click-to-cancel” rule, finalized in October 2024, requires subscription sellers to make cancellation at least as simple as sign-up, to obtain express informed consent before charging, and to clearly disclose all material terms before collecting billing information. The core compliance provisions took effect in May 2025.10FTC. FTC Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule
California’s Automatic Renewal Law goes further for residents of the state. It requires “express affirmative consent” before charging, clear disclosure of the cancellation policy, and an online cancellation option when the purchase was made online. If a business fails to obtain proper consent, anything it provided is treated as an unconditional gift, and the consumer owes nothing.11California Legislative Information. Apple’s own developer rules require subscription apps to clearly display the full renewal price, the trial duration, and the price that will be billed when a trial ends, all within the purchase flow.12Apple. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions If what you saw at signup didn’t match those requirements, say so in your refund request. Apple reviews those claims against its own policies.
A Note on the FTC’s Genesis Case
In June 2026, the FTC sued the Genesis enterprise, a Ukrainian IT company, alleging that a network of 15 corporations and eight individuals used Cyprus-based affiliates and Delaware shell companies to run deceptive subscription schemes across dozens of apps.13FTC. For your own refund, this background doesn’t change the steps above, but it may be worth mentioning if you escalate a dispute with your card issuer.
