BMW Ultimate Care Maintenance Programs What it does not cover are the parts that wear out through normal use: brake pads, rotors, wipers, tires, and the 12-volt battery.
Scheduled Services Included
Ultimate Care is a maintenance plan, not a warranty. It pays for the specific services BMW’s factory schedule calls for, nothing more and nothing less. The covered items are:2BMW USA Service. BMW Ultimate Care Maintenance Programs

BMW does not publish fixed mileage intervals for most of these services. The car’s Condition Based Service (CBS) system monitors operating temperature, cold starts, engine load, idle time, and elapsed months to decide when each item is actually due.5Bimmers Atlanta. BMW Condition Based Service Maintenance An owner doing short city trips with frequent cold starts will see oil service requested earlier than a highway commuter in the same model. When the dashboard flags a service, you take the car in, and the technician reads the key fob to pull the exact service list the vehicle is requesting.
What Ultimate Care Does Not Cover
Several categories fall outside the plan, and these are the ones owners most often assume are included:6BMW of Coconut Creek. Ultimate BMW Care

Where the Work Has to Be Done
All covered services must be performed at an authorized BMW center by BMW-trained technicians using original BMW parts.2BMW USA Service. Parts installed during covered maintenance carry a two-year, unlimited-mileage limited warranty.8BMW of Coconut Creek. Ultimate BMW Care There is no separate enrollment or paperwork to carry; the maintenance status lives in the vehicle’s key fob, and the dealer reads it at check-in.
Who Qualifies, and Whether It Transfers
Ultimate Care applies to model year 2017 and newer BMWs purchased or leased new from an authorized BMW center.9BMW of Latham. BMW Ultimate Care Model year 2026 vehicles continue to receive the same three-year, 36,000-mile coverage.4BMW USA. BMW Model Year 2026 Maintenance With BEVs Vehicles from 2015 and 2016 sold or leased on or after July 1, 2014, fell under a predecessor called the BMW Maintenance Program, which ran four years or 50,000 miles.
Certified Pre-Owned cars do not include Ultimate Care by default, though CPO buyers can purchase scheduled maintenance separately at the time of sale.10BMW of Schererville. BMW Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
Transferability depends on the model year. For model year 2022 and newer vehicles, coverage transfers to subsequent purchasers, owners, or lessees. For model year 2021 and older, it does not transfer, with one exception: a household transfer to an immediate family member within the United States.11BMW of Monterey. BMW Ultimate Care
Electric BMWs
Battery electric BMWs are included in Ultimate Care, with the service list adjusted for the drivetrain. BEVs use a 24-month base CBS interval rather than a mileage-driven calculation, and they do not require oil changes.3BMW USA. BMW Maintenance System With BEVs Covered items include brake fluid service, cabin air filter replacement, and brake disc replacement by BMW-trained technicians. The high-voltage battery is covered by a separate eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty.12BMW of Riverside. BMW EV Maintenance
