Reasons a Legitimate Charge Can Look Wrong
Before treating the charge as fraud, rule out a few routine billing mechanics.
- Authorization holds. When you place a pickup or delivery order, Walmart authorizes an estimated amount that may be higher than the final total because of items priced by weight, substitutions, or bag fees. The charge finalizes only when the order is picked up, delivered, or shipped, and your bank can take up to 10 days to release the original hold.4Walmart. Temporary Holds and Charges
- Subscription billing.
