Vuori Credit Charge: Why It Appeared on Your Statement

A charge from Vuori on a credit card almost always means someone bought clothing from Vuori, a California-based activewear brand that sells online, in its own stores, and through retailers like Nordstrom and REI.1Malibu Country Mart. Vuori The purchase may have been made weeks ago if it was split into installments through Afterpay or Klarna, or it may have been made by someone else in the household. In rarer cases, the charge comes from a counterfeit website using Vuori’s name and images to collect payment information.

What the Charge Usually Is

Vuori sells men’s and women’s performance apparel through vuori.com, its physical stores, and third-party retailers. If the amount on your statement matches an order you placed or a visit to one of the stores, that’s the simplest explanation.

A less obvious source is a buy-now-pay-later plan. Vuori offers Afterpay, which splits a purchase into four interest-free payments every two weeks,2Vuori Clothing. Afterpay and Klarna, which offers a “Pay in 4” plan, a one-time card option with bi-weekly payments and a service fee, or longer monthly financing with APRs up to roughly 36%.3Klarna. Pay With Klarna at Vuori A single order can therefore produce multiple charges spread across weeks or months, and it’s easy to lose track of which installment is which.

Check also whether a partner or family member who shares the card made a purchase. Vuori does not run a subscription or auto-renewing membership that would bill on its own. Its Birthday Program and V1 Community Program for fitness professionals are both free and do not store payment information for automatic billing.4Vuori Clothing. V1 Community Terms and Conditions So a recurring Vuori charge is not a membership fee; it’s either an installment plan or a separate transaction.

One other possibility worth ruling out: a store employee can select the wrong profile at checkout. Vuori has acknowledged at least one case in which a customer received a purchase receipt because an employee picked the wrong email from an auto-fill list, assigning another shopper’s purchase to the wrong account.5Better Business Bureau. Vuori Complaints If you got an emailed receipt for a store you’ve never been to, that mix-up is one explanation.

When the Charge Might Be From a Fake Vuori Site

Vuori has warned customers that scammers set up counterfeit websites using the brand’s imagery and product photos, usually advertising steep site-wide discounts the real company is not offering. Shoppers who enter payment information on those sites may see a charge from an unfamiliar merchant and never receive the item.6Vuori Clothing. Fraud Protection

The company says its only official websites are www.vuori.com and www.vuoriclothing.com, and its only official email addresses end in @vuori.com or @vuoriclothing.com. Vuori monitors for trademark infringement but says shutting down fraudulent sites through legal action takes time.6Vuori Clothing. If no one in your household made the purchase, or if Vuori won’t resolve a legitimate problem, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Federal law caps your liability for unauthorized credit card charges at $50, and once you report the card lost or stolen, you aren’t liable for any charges made after that.9Discover.
