A charge from Unicity USA Inc on your credit card or bank statement is a payment to Unicity International, a Utah-based direct-selling company that sells health and nutrition supplements. In almost every case, the charge comes from the company’s auto-refill subscription program, which bills the card on file each month and ships product automatically. You can stop it by canceling through your Unicity account or customer service, request a refund under the company’s return policy, and dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer if Unicity doesn’t resolve it.
Where the Charge Comes From
Unicity International sells supplements in more than 60 countries, with its best-known products being Unimate (a yerba mate drink) and Balance (a fiber drink), sold together as the “Feel Great” program. Products reach customers either through independent distributors or directly from the company’s website.
When someone signs up, they authorize Unicity to process a monthly order and charge the card or bank account on file automatically.1Unicity. Terms of Use Because the billing repeats on its own, a charge can show up months after the original purchase if the subscription was never canceled. That’s the usual explanation when a Unicity USA Inc charge appears unexpectedly, including cases where a household member enrolled or the customer forgot they had signed up.
How to Cancel the Subscription
There are two ways to stop the recurring charges, and both have the same timing rule attached.
The online route is to log into your Unicity account and use the cancellation option there. The change has to be made at least 10 calendar days before your next scheduled shipment to prevent that month’s charge.1Unicity. Terms of Use
The other route is customer service. Call 1-800-UNICITY or email cs@unicity.com. You can also mail a written Subscription Agreement marked “Cancel” to the Customer Service Department, but it needs to arrive at least 10 business days before the next shipment to take effect in time.2Unicity. Subscription Management
If your cancellation is submitted too close to the ship date, Unicity warns that it may not stop the next shipment or charge. Cancel well ahead of the billing date, and keep a confirmation email or screenshot showing when you submitted the request.
Returns and Refunds
If you were already charged and the products arrived, Unicity’s return policy depends on what shipped.
For Feel Great products (Unimate and Balance), the company offers a 90-day money-back guarantee, but only if you logged your daily usage in the Feel Great Fasting App with at least 50% tracking compliance. Separately, there is a no-questions-asked return within 15 days of delivery for unopened products in resalable condition.3Unicity. What Are Your Refund and Return Policies
For all other Unicity products, there is a 60-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Returns must be in the original packaging, each customer is limited to one return, and Unimate and Balance purchased outside the Feel Great guarantee are excluded from this policy.3Unicity. Refunds go back to the original payment method, minus any credits earned on the order. Start the process by contacting customer service by phone or email.
Disputing the Charge With Your Bank or Card Issuer
If Unicity doesn’t refund you, or the charge was never authorized in the first place, you have separate rights through your bank or card issuer. The rules differ by payment type.
For a credit card charge, the Fair Credit Billing Act requires you to send a written dispute to your card issuer’s billing-inquiry address within 60 days of the statement date showing the charge. Include your name, account number, and a description of the error, along with copies of supporting documents. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. While the investigation is open, you can withhold payment on the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent on that amount. Federal law caps your liability for truly unauthorized credit card charges at $50.4Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
For a debit card or bank account charge, federal law requires you to notify your bank within 60 days of the statement date. The bank generally has 10 business days to investigate and must correct any error within one business day of completing its review. If the investigation takes longer, the bank must typically issue a temporary credit for the disputed amount, minus up to $50.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. A dispute is strongest when you’ve first tried to resolve the issue with Unicity directly, so keep a record of when you canceled, what customer service told you, and any refund confirmation you were promised.
What Other Customers Have Reported

The public complaints tend to describe delayed refunds, missing or misdirected shipments, and difficulty getting resolution from customer support. In one case, a customer said the company delayed refunding an unopened return; Unicity responded that the customer’s credit card had been closed, forcing it to mail a physical check on a slower cycle. In another, Unicity pushed back on a non-delivery claim by citing a tracking number showing delivery and pointing to what it called a “recurring pattern” of similar claims from that customer, including previous refunds issued in October 2023, June 2024, and November 2024.7BBB. The practical takeaway is that a refund through Unicity may not be quick. Cancel the subscription first to stop the next charge, request the refund in writing, and if the response is slow or unsatisfactory, use the dispute rights above while you’re still inside the 60-day window.
