Spirio Charge: Canceling, Refunds, and Bank Disputes

A “Spirio” or “Spiriohub” charge on your credit card is a recurring subscription fee from Spiriohub, a subscription app that sells video courses, guided meditations, and other spiritual-wellness content. If you don’t remember signing up, the charge almost always traces back to an auto-renewing subscription, sometimes started through a discounted first-month offer that later billed at the full rate. You can stop it by cancelling through the app store or account where you subscribed, and you can often get money back by contacting the company, filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, or disputing the charge with your bank.

What Spiriohub Actually Is

Spiriohub is a subscription app and web platform developed by Arsimir Limited. It offers video courses, guided meditation, breathwork exercises, and daily motivational content, and is available on iOS and Android.1Apple App Store. Spirio – Spiritual Wellbeing

The app is free to download but locks its content behind a paid subscription. Listed tiers include a one-month plan at $39.99, a three-month plan at $89.99, and a six-month plan at $119.99.1Apple App Store. Why the Charge Looks Unfamiliar

Two things drive the confusion. First, Spiriohub collects contact and payment information during what it presents as a personalization process, so some users don’t register that they’ve committed to a recurring subscription.1Apple App Store. Spirio – Spiritual Wellbeing Second, the subscription auto-renews by default. Section 4.1 of the Terms of Use states: “The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. By purchasing a subscription, you agree that you will be charged the applicable subscription fee at the beginning of your subscription period and on each renewal date thereafter until you cancel.”2Better Business Bureau. The billing descriptor itself is another source of trouble. One consumer told the Better Business Bureau that “the charges are not coming from spirio-hub so we could not figure out who was even charging us.”2Better Business Bureau. How to Cancel the Subscription

The right cancellation path depends on where you originally signed up.

If you subscribed directly through Spiriohub, the company says to open Account Settings, tap Support, scroll to Manage Subscription, and select Cancel Subscription. Once cancelled, no further charges are made.4Spiriohub. Contacts

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancelling inside the Spiriohub app is not enough, and deleting the app doesn’t cancel anything either. Apple subscriptions have to be cancelled through your Apple ID settings, and Google Play subscriptions through play.google.com or the Google Play app.5Google Play Community. Getting a Refund

Spiriohub’s written refund policy is restrictive. Subscription fees are described as non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law. Subscribers who received a money-back guarantee at checkout must email support within 30 days of the initial purchase and before the subscription period ends, and must show at least 14 consecutive days of use through screenshots or other confirmation.6Spiriohub. Some regional rights apply. EU consumers have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital content, though Spiriohub’s terms say users consent to immediate delivery on purchase, which the company argues waives that right. Consumers in certain U.S. states may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund before midnight of the third business day after purchase where state law provides for it. Brazilian consumers have a seven-day withdrawal right for purchases made outside a commercial establishment.6Spiriohub. Money Back

In practice, the company has been more flexible than the written policy. BBB records show Spiriohub has consistently issued full or partial refunds after a complaint is filed, describing them as a “gesture of goodwill.” Documented refund amounts in resolved BBB complaints include $269.97 and $459.88. The company is not BBB-accredited; as of mid-2026 its profile lists six complaints over the past three years, all classified as billing issues.2Better Business Bureau. A practical sequence: email support@spiriohub.com first with your account details and a refund request. If you get no response or a refusal, file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, which is where most documented refunds have come from.

Disputing the Charge With Your Bank

If Spiriohub won’t refund the charge, or you believe it was unauthorized, you can dispute it through your card issuer. The protections depend on whether it hit a credit card or a debit card.

For credit cards, the Fair Credit Billing Act caps your liability for unauthorized charges at $50, and when the card number was used without the physical card being lost or stolen (as with an online subscription), your liability is $0.7FDIC. FDIC Consumer News To formally dispute a charge, send a written letter to your issuer’s billing inquiries address, not the payment address, within 60 days of the statement showing the charge. Include your name, account number, and a description of the error. The issuer must acknowledge your letter within 30 days and resolve the dispute within 90 days. You do not have to pay the disputed amount while the investigation is pending.8Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

For debit cards, protections under the Electronic Funds Transfer Act are time-sensitive. If your card wasn’t lost or stolen but the number was used for unauthorized charges, you’re not responsible for any amount so long as you notify your bank within 60 days of the statement showing the transaction.7FDIC. One caution: banks and card networks often treat a charge as authorized if you agreed to an auto-renewing subscription, even one you don’t remember. Cancel first so the charges stop, keep copies of your cancellation confirmation, and describe the situation accurately when you file the dispute.

If your bank’s investigation doesn’t resolve the issue, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov/complaint or by calling (855) 411-2372.9Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Steps You Can Take if You Think Your Card Data Was Hacked
