A charge labeled “Skylight San Francisco” on your bank or credit card statement is a payment to Glimpse LLC, a San Francisco company that does business as Skylight. It usually reflects one of two things: a one-time purchase of a Skylight digital photo frame or smart calendar, or the annual renewal of a Skylight Plus subscription tied to one of those devices. The city name shows up in the descriptor because Glimpse LLC is headquartered in San Francisco.1Skylight. Terms of Service
What the Charge Is For
Skylight sells Wi-Fi-connected digital photo frames and family calendars directly to consumers.2Skylight. Careers A single, larger charge is typically the device itself, bought from the Skylight website. A smaller charge that reappears once a year is almost always a Plus subscription renewing.
There are two Plus plans, each billed annually:
- Frame Plus, $39 per year, which adds remote settings control, photo and video albums, and slideshow mirroring to a TV.3Skylight. Skylight Frame Plus
- Calendar Plus, $79 per year, which adds meal planning, a chore-rewards tracker, a photo and video screensaver, and “Magic Import” for pulling school events and other schedules from forwarded emails.4Skylight. Calendar Skylight Plus
The devices still work without Plus. A Skylight Calendar can sync online calendars, track chores, and manage lists at no ongoing cost, and a Skylight Frame can still receive photos by email or the app.5Skylight Support. How to Cancel a Skylight Plus Subscription
Where you originally signed up determines how you cancel.
If you subscribed through the Skylight website, watch for the renewal-reminder email Skylight sends before each billing cycle. That email contains a link to a “Manage Membership Portal” where cancellation is completed.6Skylight Support. Managing Your Frame / Calendar Plus Subscription Skylight’s support page says that after you cancel, “you won’t have access to the Plus features until the end of your billing cycle, and you won’t be charged further.”7Skylight Support. If I Cancel My Frame / Calendar Plus Subscription Before Its Expiration Date, Can It Still Remain Active Until the End of the Year
If you subscribed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, Skylight cannot cancel for you. You have to open your subscription settings inside Google or Apple and cancel there.6Skylight Support. Managing Your Frame / Calendar Plus Subscription Those store cancellations act as a “pre-cancel,” meaning Plus features stay active until the current billing period ends and no further charge is made.7Skylight Support. What about a refund for the unused portion of the year? An older version of Skylight’s terms said canceling customers would receive a pro-rated refund of unused, pre-paid subscription amounts.8Skylight. Prior Terms of Service Current support documentation does not mention pro-rated refunds, so it is unclear whether that policy still applies. If you want one, ask customer support directly.

Disputing the Charge With Your Bank
If Skylight will not resolve the charge, or you do not recognize it at all, you can dispute it through your credit card issuer. The Fair Credit Billing Act gives you the right to dispute a billing error by sending written notice to your card issuer’s billing-inquiries address within 60 days of the statement date on which the charge appeared. Include your name, account number, and a description of the charge you believe is wrong.10Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
The issuer has to acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. During the investigation, you are not required to pay the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent on it. Federal law also caps your liability for unauthorized credit card charges at $50.10Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recommends trying the merchant first, then asking your card issuer to initiate a chargeback if the merchant will not help. If your issuer itself gives you trouble, you can file a complaint with the CFPB.11Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Can I Get a Refund on a Product or Service I Purchased With My Credit Card
