Stay on the line until the dispatcher has your location. Give the highway name, nearest mile marker, and direction of travel. On divided highways, say northbound or southbound so troopers don’t search the wrong side. A vehicle description with make, model, color, and plate helps them find the right car.

Crash Report Requests

The quickest way is the online portal at CrashDocs.org, where you’ll need the crash number (starting with “NHP” followed by digits), the last name of someone involved, and the date. The crash number is on the paperwork the trooper handed you at the scene.
