Indigo Online Charge: Concora Disputes, Overlimit Fees, Fraud

A charge labeled “Indigo” on your statement is a fee or transaction from the Indigo Mastercard, an unsecured credit card issued by Celtic Bank and serviced by Concora Credit Inc. If you’re looking at an Indigo online charge you don’t recognize, it’s most often one of the card’s built-in fees — the annual fee, a monthly maintenance fee, or a penalty charge — rather than fraud. You can review the detail in your account at myindigocard.com and dispute anything incorrect by calling Concora or writing to the dispute address within 60 days of the statement.

What the Charge Is Probably For

The Indigo Mastercard has a layered fee structure, and the exact combination you pay depends on the issuer’s assessment of your credit at approval. You don’t know your full fee set until the first statement arrives, which is why so many of these charges feel like they came out of nowhere.1Business Insider. Indigo Card

The usual suspects:

  • Annual fee. First-year fees run from $75 to as high as $175 or more, and the charge is posted to the account as soon as it’s opened — before you’ve used the card. On a $300 credit line, a $75 annual fee leaves roughly $225 in usable credit from day one.2Indigo Card. Terms and Conditions
  • Monthly maintenance fee. Some cardholders are billed $12.50 a month starting in the second year, which adds $150 a year on top of the renewal annual fee.3NerdWallet. Indigo Platinum Mastercard
  • Late payment, overlimit, and returned payment fees. Each can be up to $41 per occurrence.1Business Insider. Indigo Card
  • Credit protection fee. If you enrolled in the optional protection program, it costs $1.49 per $100 of your monthly statement balance. A $500 balance generates a $7.45 charge.4Yahoo Finance. Concora Credit Card Explainer
  • Cash advance fee. The greater of $5 or 5% of the advance, capped at $100.2Indigo Card. Terms and Conditions

The annual fee and the second-year monthly fee are the two charges people most often don’t expect, because neither comes with its own notice beyond what’s in the original terms.

One quirk worth knowing: cardholders have reported that payments can take up to 14 business days to post as available credit. If you make a new purchase in that gap, you can push the balance over your limit and trigger an overlimit fee even though you’ve already paid.7WalletHub. Indigo Credit Card Complaints

If the Charge Is an Overlimit Fee

Overlimit fees are one of the most-questioned charges on Indigo accounts. If you opted in to overlimit coverage, Concora can approve a transaction that pushes you past your credit limit and then charge up to $41 for doing so.3NerdWallet. Indigo Platinum Mastercard Federal rules require that overlimit coverage be an affirmative opt-in, with the fee amount disclosed before you agreed. If you don’t remember opting in, you can revoke that election at any time by calling customer service. Revoking stops future overlimit fees but doesn’t reverse ones already posted.13CFPB. Overlimit Fees

Overlimit fees are easier to trip into on this card than on most, because the annual fee comes out of a small credit line right away. A $300 limit with a $75 annual fee leaves about $225 in real spending room, so even moderate use can bump the balance over the ceiling.

If You Think the Charge Is Fraud

If someone else used your card, your agreement requires you to notify Concora right away. Call the lost/stolen line at 1-800-304-3096 to lock the card and open a fraud investigation. You aren’t responsible for charges Concora determines to be unauthorized.2Indigo Card. Terms and Conditions
