A “Hypnopulse” charge on your bank or card statement is a subscription payment for Hypnozio, a hypnotherapy app billed by Hypnopulse UAB in Lithuania and its U.S. affiliate PixelGalaxy Inc. in Tennessee.1Hypnozio. Privacy Policy The charge almost always comes from a subscription that auto-renewed after a free trial or at the end of a prior billing cycle, and stopping it takes two steps: cancel through the exact channel you signed up through, then pursue a refund through that same channel or dispute the charge with your card issuer.
Why the Charge Keeps Showing Up
Hypnozio subscriptions renew automatically by default. If you don’t cancel during the free trial, the plan converts to a paid monthly or yearly subscription at the rate shown at sign-up, and every billing cycle after that renews at the then-current non-promotional rate until you explicitly cancel.2Hypnozio. Terms and Conditions A single sign-up can produce months of charges if nothing is done.
Deleting the app from your phone does not cancel anything. Billing continues until the subscription itself is terminated through the right channel.2Hypnozio. Terms and Conditions This is the single most common reason people see a Hypnopulse charge after they thought they were done with the app.
How To Cancel the Subscription
How you cancel depends on how you originally paid. Website signups and app-store signups are managed in different places, and a website subscription will not appear in your phone’s subscription settings at all — which is why many users assume no subscription exists until the next charge posts.
If you signed up on the Hypnozio website, cancellation is by email only. Send a request to support@hypnozio.com with the subject line “Cancelation of Agreement” and include your full name, email address, phone number, and a brief reason for canceling. The company says it processes requests within 72 hours, and access runs through the end of the current billing cycle.2Hypnozio. Terms and Conditions
If you signed up through the Apple App Store, cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone or iPad. Hypnozio states it cannot manage or cancel subscriptions billed through Apple.3Hypnozio. How To Manage My Subscription
If you signed up through Google Play, open the Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Hypnozio, and tap Cancel subscription.3Hypnozio. How To Manage My Subscription
Keep whatever confirmation you receive. Some users have reported being billed again after receiving a cancellation confirmation, and written proof is what you’ll need to challenge that charge.4Apple. Hypnozio App Store Reviews
How To Request a Refund
Hypnozio’s own refund policy is narrow. The company treats digital content as delivered the moment you have access, and it generally does not refund canceled subscriptions. The one exception is a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on subscriptions bought directly through the website, and even that requires you to have listened to at least six sessions of the online hypnotherapy course within those 30 days to qualify.2Hypnozio. Terms and Conditions
For App Store purchases, refunds go through Apple, not Hypnozio. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select “Request a refund.” Apple usually updates the request within 24 to 48 hours; a refund to a credit or debit card can take up to 30 days to appear on your statement.5Apple. For Google Play purchases, use the refund request tool at support.google.com/googleplay, or contact the developer directly for subscription refunds. If the charge was unauthorized, report it within 120 days through Google’s unauthorized transaction portal.6Google. Report Unauthorized Charges on Google Play
Disputing the Charge With Your Bank or Card Issuer
If the refund request is denied or ignored, your credit card company is the next stop. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you can dispute a charge in writing, and the letter must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first statement showing the charge was sent to you. Include your name, account number, the amount and date of the charge, and a description of the billing error.7FTC. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
While the dispute is being investigated, the issuer cannot report the disputed amount as delinquent or send it to collections. The issuer must acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. Your liability for unauthorized charges is capped by federal law at $50, and if the issuer fails to follow proper dispute procedures it may lose the right to collect up to $50 of the disputed amount even if the charge itself turns out to be valid. Unresolved disputes can be escalated to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.7FTC. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
Debit card disputes follow a different federal statute with shorter timelines and weaker protections, so credit card charges are generally easier to reverse than debit charges.
What the Law Requires of Auto-Renewal Sellers
Several laws govern how auto-renewing subscriptions like this one must be sold and canceled, and they are useful to cite when pushing back on a denied refund.
The federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any business using a negative-option arrangement — where your silence is treated as agreement to keep paying — to clearly disclose all material terms before taking your billing information, obtain express informed consent, and provide a simple way to stop recurring charges.8FTC. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act The FTC has said a pre-checked box is not express informed consent, and that cancellation must be at least as easy as sign-up.9FTC. FTC Enforcement Policy Statement on Negative Option Marketing
California’s Automatic Renewal Law adds more. As amended effective July 1, 2025, it requires businesses serving California consumers to allow cancellation in the same medium used for sign-up, send annual reminders of recurring charges, and present a clear “click to cancel” button if they attempt retention offers during the cancellation flow. Products delivered without proper affirmative consent are treated as unconditional gifts under the statute.10Sidley. Amendments to California’s Automatic Renewal Law
Because Hypnopulse UAB is based in Lithuania, EU consumers have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Directive, including a 14-day cooling-off period to withdraw from a distance contract such as an online subscription without giving a reason, and a prohibition on cancellation processes designed to obstruct unsubscribing.11European Union. Returns and Refunds No public regulatory action against Hypnozio has been reported, but these rules are the standards against which the company’s conduct would be measured.
