Huawei Services HK Charge: What It Is, How to Cancel, and Dispute

A “Huawei Services HK” charge on your bank or credit card statement is a billing descriptor from Huawei Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, the Huawei subsidiary that processes payments for Huawei Mobile Services across much of the world. It almost always traces back to a subscription or in-app purchase tied to a Huawei device, most often cloud storage, music, e-books, or something bought through AppGallery. The descriptor tells you the money went somewhere in Huawei’s ecosystem, but not which service specifically, so identifying the exact source is the first step to stopping it.1Huawei Consumer. What Usually Triggers the Charge

A handful of Huawei services account for most of these deductions, and each has its own auto-renewal quirk.

  • Huawei Mobile Cloud storage upgrades run on monthly or yearly auto-renewal. If auto-renewal is on, the system attempts to deduct the fee seven days before the subscription expires and retries daily if the first attempt fails.2Huawei Cloud. KooDrive Billing
  • Huawei Music free trials convert automatically. In Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, a one-month free trial rolls into a paid monthly plan the day after it ends. In the MENA region and Russia, a three-month free trial converts to a one-month paid plan the same way.3Huawei Consumer. About HUAWEI Music Membership Plans
  • Huawei Books uses a monthly auto-renewal that processes within 24 hours before the current period expires.4Huawei Consumer. HUAWEI Books Subscription
  • AppGallery in-app purchases and game subscriptions bill through the same Hong Kong entity, and some apps enable recurring payments at the point of download.

Huawei’s cloud subscription agreement says that once auto-renewal is activated, the company holds “irrevocable rights” to deduct fees from the linked payment method for the next billing cycle. If a deduction instruction was already sent before you cancel, Huawei states it will not refund that charge.5Huawei Cloud. Renewal Service Agreement

How to Identify the Exact Purchase

On the Huawei device linked to the account, go to Settings > Account centre > Payment and purchases > Purchase history, then tap an individual order. You’ll see the payment status, amount, product or app name, transaction number, payment type, and time. If you paid with an EU bank card, the payment-type field also shows your bank name and the last four digits of the card.6Huawei Consumer. How Do I Query My Purchase History

If you can’t find the record on the device, Huawei support can trace it, but they’ll ask for your Huawei ID, the payment amount and time, the phone number linked to the payment, any transaction confirmation emails or texts, and the order status.7Huawei Consumer. How Do I Query My Purchase History

How to Cancel the Subscription

Once cancelled, no further deductions occur starting from the next billing period. The path depends on the service.

Three routes work:

  • On the device: Settings > Account center > Payment and purchases > Subscriptions (or Password-free payments), then pick the service to cancel.
  • In the Cloud app: Settings > Log in to HUAWEI ID > Cloud, tap the icon in the upper-right corner, then Subscription > Cancel subscription.
  • On the web at cloud.huawei.com: log in and click My HUAWEI ID > My account > Payment and purchases > Subscriptions, then remove auto-renewal or unsubscribe entirely.8Huawei Consumer. How Do I Cancel My Cloud Storage Subscription

Cutting Off All Future Charges

To stop any future deduction from any Huawei service, unlink your bank card from your Huawei ID. Huawei’s support hub provides card-unlinking instructions alongside a separate guide for cancelling active subscriptions.11Huawei Consumer. How to Unlink a Bank Card and Cancel Subscriptions

If You Don’t Own a Huawei Device

Some people see the “Huawei Services HK” descriptor without ever having owned a Huawei phone. In one reported case, a Xiaomi user found a $7.14 charge labeled “Huawei Services HK Hong Kong” and said they had never downloaded any Huawei service. They blocked the card and were referred to Huawei Support.12Huawei Community. Huawei Services HK Hong Kong Charge

If you have no connection to any Huawei product, a charge like this could mean your payment method was compromised, or that someone else with card access, such as a family member, signed up for a service. Treat it as potentially unauthorized and move to dispute it with your bank.

How to Dispute the Charge With Your Bank

If Huawei’s support channels don’t resolve the issue, or you believe the charge is unauthorized, dispute it with your card issuer. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your written dispute must reach the issuer within 60 days of the first statement showing the charge. Send it to the issuer’s billing-inquiry address, not the payment address, and include your name, account number, the date and amount of the charge, and why you believe it’s an error. The issuer must acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days.13Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

You can withhold payment on the disputed amount while the investigation runs, without being reported delinquent. Federal law caps your liability for unauthorized credit card charges at $50. If the charge is tied to identity theft, the FTC recommends visiting IdentityTheft.gov for further steps.13Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

If the issuer denies your dispute, you generally have 10 days from receiving their explanation to respond with additional evidence. Unresolved disputes can be escalated by filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or reporting the matter to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.14California Department of Justice. Reaching Huawei Support

Huawei doesn’t publish one global billing hotline. Consumer inquiries are routed through regional pages accessible from consumer.huawei.com/en/support/contact-us/, which links to country-specific teams offering live chat, toll-free hotlines, or WhatsApp depending on region.15Huawei Consumer. Third-party review platforms show mixed results with Huawei’s dispute-resolution process, including unanswered phone lines, automated email replies, and difficulty getting refunds for free trials that converted to paid subscriptions.16Pissed Consumer.
