The Quaker Oats class action lawsuit claim form is no longer being accepted. The submission window at www.foodrecallsettlement.com closed on June 27, 2025, and the settlement site confirms new claims cannot be filed.1Quaker Oats Settlement. Submit Claim – Quaker Oats Settlement If you filed in time, payment depends on the court granting final approval at the hearing scheduled for August 4, 2025, after which the administrator has 60 days to issue payouts from the $6.75 million fund.
Who Was Eligible to File
You were part of the settlement class if you bought one or more of the recalled Quaker products in the United States between November 1, 2023 and December 29, 2023 for personal or household use rather than resale.2Angeion Group. Quaker Oats Recall Settlement – Long Form Notice You did not need to have gotten sick. The claim was about the economic loss of buying a product that could have been contaminated with Salmonella, not about personal injury.
The recall reached well beyond Quaker-branded granola bars. It swept in Cap’n Crunch cereals and treats, Quaker Chewy bars, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, Simply Granola, Gatorade Protein bars, Munchies Snack Mix, and Gamesa Marias Cereal, each tied to specific UPC codes and “Best Before” dates.3Food and Drug Administration. What the Claim Form Asked For
The form, available online or by mail to the Kessler v. The Quaker Oats Company Claims Administrator in Philadelphia, collected your name, mailing address, email, the type of products purchased, and the number of units bought during the eligible period.4Angeion Group. Quaker Oats Recall Settlement – Claim Form From there, claimants picked one of two tiers.
Tier 1: Up to $10 Without Receipts
Tier 1 paid up to $10.00 per household with no proof of purchase, covering up to two units of recalled products. The amount was based on the average retail price plus a 10 percent allowance for sales tax.2Angeion Group. Quaker Oats Recall Settlement – Long Form Notice

If You Already Got a Refund from Quaker
Quaker ran a direct reimbursement hotline (1-800-492-9322) after the recall was announced.5U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Quaker Recalls Granola Bars and Granola Cereals Due to Possible Health Risk If you or anyone in your household already got money that way, the settlement payment is reduced by the amount you previously received on the same product.
When Payments Go Out
Payments are expected within 60 days of the settlement becoming effective. The final approval hearing was scheduled for August 4, 2025. Once the court issues a final order and any appeal period passes without challenge, the administrator can start processing checks and electronic payments.
Every payout is subject to pro rata adjustment. If the approved claims add up to more than $6.75 million, each claimant’s share drops proportionally so the fund is fully distributed. Your actual dollar amount depends on how many valid claims came in against that fixed pool, and it may be less than the Tier 1 or Tier 2 caps suggest.
If you filed, watch the email address you gave on the form. Updates on distribution timing are posted at www.foodrecallsettlement.com.2Angeion Group. Quaker Oats Recall Settlement – Long Form Notice
If You Missed the June 27 Deadline
The settlement website is no longer accepting claims, and there is no publicly stated policy for late filings.1Quaker Oats Settlement. Submit Claim – Quaker Oats Settlement Contacting the claims administrator directly through the settlement website is the only remaining avenue, with no guarantee anything will be done.
Missing the deadline is not the end of the road if you actually got sick. The class action addressed economic loss from buying a recalled product, not personal injury. If you contracted Salmonella from a Quaker product and had medical expenses or other injury-related damages, a separate claim outside the settlement may still be possible depending on your state’s statute of limitations. An attorney who handles food-safety cases can tell you whether that path is still open.
Anyone who was in the class and neither filed a claim nor opted out is still bound by the settlement’s release once it becomes final, meaning the related economic-loss claims against Quaker are given up regardless of whether a payment was requested.
