To get your W-2 from Walmart as a former employee, go to mytaxform.com and enter Walmart’s employer code, 10108. If the online route doesn’t work, call 1-800-941-1384 and a representative can verify your identity and mail a copy. For tax year 2025, Walmart must send or make your W-2 available by Monday, February 2, 2026, because the usual January 31 deadline lands on a Saturday.

  • The store, warehouse, or distribution center number where you worked.

Once you’re verified, pick the tax year, view the W-2 on screen, and download the PDF. Electronic copies are typically posted by mid-January, ahead of anything sent by mail.

The electronic version on MyTaxForm typically shows up earlier, sometimes by mid-January.

If Your W-2 Never Arrives

If February passes and nothing has come, start by calling 1-800-941-1384 and requesting a reprint. If Walmart doesn’t resolve it, contact the IRS at 800-829-1040. You’ll need to give your name, address, Social Security Number, dates of employment, and Walmart’s name and address. The IRS will then send Walmart a letter asking them to issue the missing or corrected W-2 within 10 days.4Internal Revenue Service. If You Don’t Get a W-2 or Your W-2 Is Wrong

If the W-2 still doesn’t arrive in time to file, you can use IRS Form 4852 as a substitute. You estimate wages and withholdings from your final Walmart pay stub, filling in total wages, Social Security wages, Medicare wages, and federal, state, and local tax withheld.5Internal Revenue Service. Without it, you’re guessing at numbers the IRS will later verify.

Another option is a Wage and Income Transcript from the IRS, which reflects what your employer reported. You can pull it through your IRS online account or by mailing Form 4506-T. Current-year wage data may not populate until later in the filing season, so this route fits better for a late or amended return.6Internal Revenue Service. If the Numbers on Your W-2 Are Wrong

If your wages don’t match your records, your Social Security Number is mistyped, or a withholding figure looks off, call Walmart at 1-800-941-1384 before you file. Walmart should issue a corrected form, called a W-2c, that reports the accurate figures to both you and the IRS.

If Walmart doesn’t fix the error by the end of February, call the IRS at 800-829-1040. The IRS will contact Walmart and request the correction within 10 days, and will send you instructions for filing with Form 4852 if the corrected form doesn’t arrive in time.4Internal Revenue Service. If You Don’t Get a W-2 or Your W-2 Is Wrong

If you already filed using the incorrect W-2 and a W-2c shows up afterward, you’ll need to file an amended return. Filing with figures you know are wrong tends to catch up with you once the IRS matches employer records against your return, so getting the correction before you file is worth the wait when it’s possible.
