To get the Chime asset verification form, call Chime Member Services at (844) 244-6363 and ask for a standard asset or account verification document. Chime generates the form from its own records and sends it to you; there is no blank form for you to fill out. The phone line runs 24/7.1Chime Help Center. How Do I Get Account or Asset Verification Documents
How to Request the Document
Call (844) 244-6363 and tell the representative you need an asset verification document. Chime prepares the letter for you and delivers it so you can pass it to your lender, landlord, attorney, or whoever asked for it.1Chime Help Center. How Do I Get Account or Asset Verification Documents
The account holder has to make the call. A mortgage loan officer, attorney, or other third party cannot contact Chime to request the document on your behalf.1Chime Help Center. How Do I Get Account or Asset Verification Documents Once the form is in your hands, you decide when to forward it.
If you would rather not call, you can try the in-app chat (tap the question mark or menu icon and choose chat) or email support@chime.com. Chime’s help documentation points people to the phone number specifically for verification documents, so that route is the most reliable one.
What the Form Includes
Chime does not publish a sample, but standard bank asset verification letters include the account holder’s name, account type (checking, savings, or both), at least the last four digits of the account number, the current balance, and the date the account was opened.
One quirk to know about. Chime accounts are held through its partner banks, The Bancorp Bank, N.A. and Stride Bank, N.A., so the verification form may reference one of those institutions rather than the Chime brand name.2Chime Help Center. What Is the Bank Account Name for Chime Mention this to your lender or landlord before you send the document so no one is thrown by seeing “Stride Bank” or “The Bancorp Bank” instead of Chime.
Getting Account Statements to Send With the Form
Most lenders and landlords want recent account statements alongside a verification letter. You do not need to call for these; Chime provides them through the app and the website.3Chime Help Center. How Do I View or Download My Account Statements
In the Chime app:
- Tap Profile.
- Tap Documents, then Account statements.
- Select the account and month you need.
- Tap the export icon in the top right to save or share the PDF.
From chime.com:

How Mortgage Lenders Handle Chime Verification
If you are applying for a mortgage, the asset verification letter you request by phone is only one of the ways your funds get confirmed. Lenders working with conventional loans often use Fannie Mae’s Verification of Deposit process (Form 1006). You sign an authorization, and the lender contacts the bank, which in Chime’s case means The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, and the bank returns the completed form directly to the lender.4Fannie Mae. Verification of Deposit
Downloaded statements are also acceptable, but they must clearly identify the financial institution and show the source, such as the URL or a header at the top of the page.5Fannie Mae. Verification of Deposits and Assets Chime’s PDFs typically meet this because the header carries the institution name and account details. If your most recent statement is more than 45 days old at the time of the loan application, the lender may ask for a fresher bank-generated document showing at least the last four digits of the account number, the balance, and the date.
Some lenders skip paper entirely and use third-party asset verification vendors that pull data electronically. Fannie Mae permits this when the verified information matches what would appear on Form 1006 or on bank statements and you have authorized the process.5Fannie Mae. Verification of Deposits and Assets If your lender uses one of these services, expect a prompt to link your Chime account through Plaid or a similar provider rather than a request for documents.
Large Deposits the Form Does Not Explain
The verification form shows your balance. It does not explain where individual deposits came from. If a large or unusual deposit hit your account shortly before a mortgage application, the lender will ask about it. A $15,000 gift from a family member, for example, requires a signed gift letter stating the amount, the donor’s relationship to you, and confirmation that no repayment is expected.
Anything inconsistent with your usual income pattern gets scrutiny. Have a paper trail ready for the source, whether that is a gift letter, a bill of sale, or documentation of an insurance payout. Sorting this out in advance keeps a closing timeline from slipping.
Tips to Avoid Delays
- Name mismatches. If the name on your Chime account does not match the name on your loan application or lease exactly, the receiving party may reject the document. Update your Chime account or flag the discrepancy to your lender in advance.
- Partner bank confusion. Your form may list The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank rather than Chime. Give your lender or landlord a heads-up.
- Stale statements. Download your most recent statement right before submitting your application. Mortgage lenders generally need statements dated within 45 days.
- Third-party requests. Your lender cannot call Chime for the letter on your behalf. You make the call, receive the document, and forward it.
- Timing. The phone line is 24/7, but if you are working against a closing or application deadline, request the form a few days early rather than the morning it is due.
A Word on Accuracy
Because Chime generates the form from its own records, the balance on the letter is whatever Chime shows. What you attest to on the loan application itself is a different matter. Providing false financial information to a federally insured institution is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. ยง 1014, carrying up to 30 years in prison and fines up to $1,000,000 per count, and the government does not need to prove the bank lost money or relied on the statement.6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 18 USC 1014 – Loan and Credit Applications Generally Never ask anyone to alter a verification document, and report your balance on any application as it actually is. Lenders cross-reference what you report against what the bank confirms.
