How to Get a Seychelles Passport: Eligibility, Documents, and Applying

To get a Seychelles passport, you must first be a confirmed Seychellois citizen, then appear in person at an authorized enrollment station with your identity documents, pay SCR 750, and pick up the biometric passport three working days later.1Immigration and Civil Status Seychelles. Applying for a Seychelles Passport Citizenship comes first; the passport itself is quick.

Confirm You Are a Seychellois Citizen

A passport is issued only to citizens, so the Immigration Division needs to see your status before anything else. If you were born in Seychelles, you are a citizen at birth only if at least one parent was a Seychellois citizen at the time. Birth on Seychellois soil alone does not confer citizenship. A child born abroad to a Seychellois father or mother is also a citizen at birth, but the parent must register the birth with the Immigration and Civil Status Division before applying for a passport.2Constitute Project.
