Your E-Verify Company ID number is a four-to-seven-digit identifier printed on every page of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) your company signed when it enrolled in E-Verify, directly below the E-Verify logo.1E-Verify.gov. How Do I Find the Company ID Number If the MOU isn’t handy, a program administrator can pull the number from inside the E-Verify account in about a minute. It is not the same as your Employer Identification Number.
Check the MOU First
The quickest route is the MOU itself. The Company ID appears under the E-Verify logo on every page, so any page of the document will do.1E-Verify.gov. How Do I Find the Company ID Number Most companies keep a copy with HR, legal, or the person who originally enrolled. For older enrollments, check email attachments and shared drives from the year the company signed up. This path doesn’t require logging in to anything.
Find It Inside Your E-Verify Account

If Your Company Uses an E-Verify Employer Agent
Some businesses outsource E-Verify to a third-party Employer Agent. In that case, the number you need is the Client Company ID, which belongs to your company, not the Employer Agent’s own ID. The two are different, and swapping them on a form like the I-765 will cause a delay.
The Client Company ID is also four to seven digits and prints on every page of the client’s MOU. An Employer Agent looking it up in the system logs in to E-Verify, opens Clients, chooses Manage Clients, and clicks View next to the company’s name to display the ID.4E-Verify. It’s Not Your EIN

Why STEM OPT Applicants Need It
The most common reason someone outside HR goes looking for this number is a STEM OPT extension. F-1 students applying for the additional 24 months of practical training must enter their employer’s E-Verify Company ID (or valid Client Company ID) on Form I-765, Part 2, Question 28.c.6U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. If your employer doesn’t know the number offhand, point them to the MOU or the Company Profile page in their E-Verify account. Because enrollment is a prerequisite for hiring STEM OPT workers, an MOU exists somewhere in the company’s records.
The Public Employer Search Doesn’t Show the ID
E-Verify runs a public search tool at e-verify.gov where anyone can look up a company by name, state, industry, or enrollment date. The results show the employer’s name, account status, enrollment date, workforce size, and hiring sites. What the tool does not show is the Company ID itself.8E-Verify. The search also only includes employers who reported five or more employees at enrollment, so smaller businesses may not appear at all.9E-Verify. E-Verify Employer Search Tool Updated
