How to Fill Out and Submit the Suncoast Direct Deposit Form

To set up a Suncoast direct deposit form, download the version that matches your pay source from Suncoast’s Forms and Applications page, enter routing number 263182817 and your member account number, and give the signed form to your employer or payer. Most private-sector members use the generic form; State of Florida employees and retirees have their own versions.

Which Form to Download

Suncoast posts four direct deposit forms under the “Direct Deposit Forms” heading on its Forms and Applications page.1Suncoast Credit Union. Applications, Forms, and Fees

  • Direct Deposit – Generic. The all-purpose version for any employer or payer who doesn’t provide their own authorization form.
  • Direct Deposit Quick Start Form. A shorter version for members who already have their account details ready to hand to payroll.
  • Direct Deposit Request Employee Form – State of Florida Authorization. For current State of Florida employees.
  • Direct Deposit Request Retiree Form – State of Florida Authorization. For Florida state retirees receiving pension payments.

If your employer hands you their own direct deposit paperwork, use theirs. The information you provide is identical, and payroll departments generally prefer their own template.

The Two Numbers You Need

Every form asks for the same two things: Suncoast’s routing number and your account number. Get either one wrong and the deposit will be delayed or rejected.

Routing Number: 263182817

This nine-digit number identifies Suncoast within the ACH network and is the same for every member, regardless of branch or account type.2Suncoast Credit Union. Suncoast Credit Union You can verify it in the bottom-left corner of a Suncoast check (the first block of numbers) or through online banking.

Your Account Number

Your member account number is not your debit card number. If you hold both checking and savings at Suncoast, each has its own number, sometimes called a suffix. Use the one that matches the account you want funded. The number appears on printed checks, inside the Suncoast mobile app, or you can call the credit union to confirm it.

Filling Out the Generic Form

The generic authorization form has these fields:

  • Name — your full legal name as it appears on your Suncoast account.
  • Social Security Number — so the payer can match the deposit to your tax records.
  • Name of Company — your employer or the entity paying you.
  • Company Address — the payer’s mailing address.
  • Type of Account — check the box for checking, savings, or money market.
  • Transit/ABA Number — enter 263182817.
  • Account Number — your Suncoast account number for the selected account.
  • Date and Signature — sign and date to authorize the recurring deposit.

Some employers let you split a paycheck between accounts (a fixed dollar amount to one, the remainder to another). If the Suncoast form doesn’t include that field, payroll can usually set the split up through their own system.

Submitting the Form

Give the completed form to your payroll or HR department. Some companies accept a scanned upload through an internal HR portal; others want the paper original. Many will also ask for a voided Suncoast check to verify the numbers. If you don’t have checks, a printout of your account details from online banking usually suffices. Ask your payroll contact what they’ll accept.

Timing varies. Some payroll providers activate direct deposit within a day or two, while others take a few weeks.3ADP. How to Set Up Direct Deposit for Employees and Employers If you submit after a payroll cutoff, your first payment will probably arrive as a paper check while the electronic setup finishes. Some employers also run a prenote, a zero-dollar test transaction through the ACH network to validate your account details, which adds an extra cycle before the first live deposit.
