How to Fill Out and Submit the State Farm B2B Supplement Form

Auto body shops file a State Farm B2B supplement form by going to b2b.statefarm.com, opening the Auto Repair Request Supplement tool under Claim Services, validating the claim with the claim number and vehicle year and make, entering the supplement total and damage type, uploading a revised estimate and supporting photos, and clicking submit.1State Farm. State Farm B2B Portal A registered B2B account is not required. Any shop working on a State Farm claim can use the tool as long as it has the claim number, vehicle year, and vehicle make.2State Farm. What to Have Ready Before You Start

Pull these together before opening the portal. Missing any one of them will either block the submission or slow the review:

  • The claim number, found on the original estimate or any prior correspondence from State Farm.
  • Vehicle year and make. The portal uses both alongside the claim number to confirm you’re working on the right file.
  • A revised estimate with every added part (part numbers and current pricing) and every added labor operation laid out as line items. Build it in CCC ONE, Mitchell, or another industry-standard platform so the format matches what reviewers expect.
  • The total dollar amount of the supplement as a single figure representing additional cost above the original estimate.
  • The damage-type classification: hail, flood, or other (collision, comprehensive, and the like).3State Farm. State Farm Auto Claim Supplement (Non Registered Shops)
  • Photos of the hidden damage and the vehicle’s current status.

Specialized materials, hazardous-waste disposal fees, and sublet operations such as frame straightening sent to another facility belong on their own line items in the estimate. Lumping them into generic labor categories invites questions from the reviewer.

Photo Requirements

State Farm’s photo guidelines call for four overall vehicle shots, one from each corner, with the license plate legible in at least one.4State Farm. Vehicle Photo Documentation Guidelines Beyond those, every supplemental item needs a close-up showing the specific damage that wasn’t visible before disassembly, plus an overall shot of the vehicle’s current repair status.

A few damage types trigger extra requirements:

  • Hail damage: a photo of the VIN plate on the dash or the VIN decal.
  • Total-loss situations: the VIN plate, the odometer reading, the registration sticker or license plate, and interior views of the driver’s side dash, center console, and passenger side to confirm factory and aftermarket options. If the odometer isn’t working, photograph an oil-change sticker or any other mileage evidence on the vehicle.4State Farm. Vehicle Photo Documentation Guidelines
  • Recreational vehicles: four corner photos with a legible plate, a VIN plate photo, and a photo of the model number when visible.

Annotating photos helps. An arrow or circle on an image of a cracked inner fender rail that only appeared after the bumper cover came off removes ambiguity for the reviewer.

Finding the Supplement Tool

From the B2B homepage, click the Claim Services icon. On the next screen, select Auto Repair Request Supplement, then click Request Supplement.3State Farm. State Farm Auto Claim Supplement (Non Registered Shops) This path is open to shops without a B2B account.2State Farm. Contact Us Form – B2B

Filling Out the Form

The portal moves through a few short screens.

Validate the Claim

Enter the claim number, vehicle year, and vehicle make, then click Check Claim. The system confirms the claim exists and pulls up the file. A single transposed digit in the claim number will block validation, so check it against the paperwork if the screen rejects it.3State Farm. State Farm Auto Claim Supplement (Non Registered Shops)

Validate the Shop

Enter the shop name, phone number, street address, contact person, and email, then click Confirm. If the portal returns an Address Standardization screen with a slightly reformatted version of your address, pick either the standardized version or the one you typed and click Confirm again.3State Farm. Enter the Supplement Details

Type the total dollar amount of the supplement and select the damage type: hail, flood, or other. Click Continue. Keep the typed total consistent with the figure on your uploaded estimate. A mismatch is an easy reason for a reviewer to send the request back.

Upload Files and Submit

Click Choose File to attach the revised estimate and photos. The portal accepts PDF, JPG, and JPEG files. Each file can be up to 17 MB, but the combined total of all uploads cannot exceed 19 MB, and you’re limited to 20 files. Password-protected documents will cause errors, so remove protection before uploading.3State Farm. State Farm Auto Claim Supplement (Non Registered Shops) After selecting files, click Continue, review what you’ve attached, and click Submit.

The 19 MB cap can be tight with many high-resolution images. Compress photos or drop the resolution slightly before uploading. The damage needs to be clearly visible, but 8,000-pixel originals straight off a DSLR aren’t necessary.

After You Submit

A confirmation screen appears when the portal accepts the submission.1State Farm. State Farm B2B Portal Save or screenshot it as proof of filing. State Farm assigns the supplement to a reviewer who evaluates the photos and cost breakdown against policy terms and prevailing repair standards. Approvals, partial approvals, and requests for more information come back through the portal or by email.

An approved supplement produces a revised estimate of record and additional payment. Partial approvals happen often: a reviewer might accept some line items and question others, particularly where labor hours look high for the operation or where part pricing exceeds the insurer’s database. The response typically includes a revised figure and notes on what was cut.

If the Supplement Is Reduced or Denied

Contact the claim representative listed in the Estimate of Record section of the original State Farm estimate. That section carries the specific team name and phone number assigned to the claim.5State Farm. Request Supplement and Shop Claim View That’s the fastest path to resolving a pricing disagreement, because you reach the team that actually reviewed the file.

Have the claim number, your supplement documentation, and the specific line items in dispute in front of you. Reference the estimating system’s standard labor allowances if the disagreement is about time. Provide invoices or supplier quotes if it’s about part pricing. Concrete documentation moves these calls forward.

If direct negotiation doesn’t resolve the amount, the policyholder can invoke the appraisal clause in their policy. Each side selects an independent appraiser, the two appraisers try to agree on the amount of loss, and if they can’t, the matter goes to an umpire. The insured typically pays their own appraiser’s fee plus half the umpire’s cost. Most supplement disputes resolve well before that point.

Portal Technical Problems

For pages that won’t load, failed uploads, or validation errors, call the B2B Help Desk at (855) 311-2681.5State Farm. Request Supplement and Shop Claim View The Help Desk handles portal and technology issues, not claim-level questions about coverage.

Common snags are password-protected PDFs the upload tool can’t read, files that push the combined total past 19 MB, and browser compatibility problems. If uploads keep failing, compress the files, try a different browser, or combine multiple photos into a single PDF before re-uploading.
