The Regions Bank direct deposit form (Form 52132) is a one-page PDF that tells your employer to send your paycheck electronically to your Regions checking or savings account. Download it from the Regions website, print it, fill in your name, signature, routing number, and account number, pick one of three deposit options, and hand it to your employer’s payroll department.1Regions Bank. Find Your Routing and Account Numbers
You need two numbers before you can fill in anything: the nine-digit routing number that identifies Regions, and your personal account number. Regions uses a different routing number depending on the state where you opened the account:2Regions Bank. What Is My Routing or Transit Number?
- Alabama: 062000019
- Arkansas: 082000109
- Florida: 063104668
- Georgia: 061101375

- Indiana: 074014213
- Iowa: 073900438
- Kentucky: 083901744
- Louisiana: 065403626
- Mississippi: 065305436
- Missouri: 081001387

- South Carolina: 053201814
- Tennessee: 064000017
- Texas: 111900785
- Virginia: 051009296
Your account number is unique to you. It sits to the right of the routing number along the bottom of a Regions check. No checks on hand? Open the Regions mobile app, select the account, and tap “View account & routing numbers” to see both values on screen.3Regions Bank. Where Can I Find My Routing Number? You can also pull them up through online banking under account details, or call Regions and ask. Check every digit twice before writing it down. One transposed number can send a paycheck to the wrong account, and recovering misdirected ACH funds takes weeks.
Fill Out the Form
The form fits on one page. At the top, print your name, sign, and date it. There is no address field, so your name and signature are the only personal details the form itself asks for.1Regions Bank. Regions Bank Direct Deposit Form
Below the signature line are three deposit options. Initial next to the one you want and fill in the matching routing and account numbers:
- Full amount to checking. Enter your checking account’s routing and account numbers. Your entire net paycheck lands there.
- Full amount to savings. Same idea, with your savings account numbers.
- Split between savings and checking. Enter both sets of routing and account numbers plus the fixed dollar amount you want deposited into savings each pay period. The remainder goes to checking automatically.1Regions Bank. Regions Bank Direct Deposit Form
Initial only one line. If you initial more than one, payroll will likely kick the form back, which costs you at least another pay cycle.
A note on the split option: if your net pay in a given period falls below the fixed amount you designated for savings (because of overtime fluctuations, deductions, or a short pay period), the payroll system typically funds your primary account first and shorts the secondary one.
Attach a Voided Check (or an Alternative)
Many employers ask for a voided check with the form. The voided check gives payroll a visual confirmation of your routing and account numbers and cuts down on typos. Write “VOID” in large letters across the front of a blank check and clip it to the form.
If you don’t have a checkbook, you have a few substitutes. Log into Regions online banking or the mobile app and print or screenshot the page showing your account and routing numbers.4Nacha. Direct Deposit Without a Voided Check? Absolutely! You can also walk into a Regions branch and ask a banker to print a verification letter on bank letterhead. Confirm with your employer’s payroll department which substitute they’ll accept before you go.
Submit the Form and Wait for the First Deposit
Give the completed form (and the voided check or substitute, if required) to human resources or payroll. Some employers skip the paper form entirely and have you enter the information yourself through a self-service payroll portal.
Activation usually takes anywhere from one pay cycle to a few weeks, depending on how your employer processes payroll changes.5ADP. How to Set Up Direct Deposit for Employees and Employers Keep your previous payment method active during that window so you don’t miss a paycheck.
Before the first real deposit, some employers send a prenotification, which is a $0 ACH entry that tests whether the routing and account numbers are valid.6Modern Treasury. What Is an ACH Prenote? If no error comes back within a few business days, the prenote is considered successful and real deposits can begin. You probably won’t see the $0 entry in your transaction history. If your first expected paycheck doesn’t show up, call payroll and ask whether they received the form and whether any prenote errors came back.
Change or Cancel Your Direct Deposit Later
To cancel, notify both your employer and Regions Bank in writing. The cancellation takes effect once each party has received your notice and had a reasonable time to act on it. Any deposits already in process still go through.1Regions Bank. Regions Bank Direct Deposit Form
Switching accounts rather than canceling? Submit a new form with the updated information and keep the old deposit active until you confirm the new one. Running both briefly is better than having a paycheck land in limbo. Watch for the first deposit in the new account before asking payroll to remove the old instruction.
Protect Yourself From Payroll Fraud
Direct deposit fraud follows a simple script: someone impersonates you, contacts your employer’s HR department, and changes your deposit to their own account. By the time you notice your paycheck didn’t arrive, the money is gone.
Submit changes in person or through your employer’s secure self-service portal, not by email. Emails requesting banking changes are the leading vector for payroll fraud, and a legitimate HR department will verify any such request through a separate channel before acting on it.
On the Regions side, turn on account alerts through online banking or the mobile app. Regions offers notifications for profile changes and account activity, and primary account holders can choose which alerts they receive.7Regions Bank. How To Set Up Alerts and Notifications Enable deposit notifications so you know when a payroll deposit posts, and when one fails to show up on payday.
When Form 52132 Is Not the Right Form
Form 52132 is for employer payroll only. Do not send it to a federal agency. If you want Social Security, SSI, Veterans Affairs, or another federal benefit deposited into your Regions account, enroll online at GoDirect.gov, call the U.S. Treasury Electronic Payment Solution Center at (877) 874-6347, or complete Standard Form 1199A, which requires a signature from a Regions representative at a branch before you mail it to the paying agency.8Bureau of the Fiscal Service. If you use a Regions Now Card instead of a traditional checking or savings account, there’s a separate direct deposit form for that product with its own fields for your card number and deposit amount or percentage.10Regions Bank.
