The Frost Bank direct deposit form is a one-page authorization called the Direct Deposit Switch Form. You download it as a free PDF from frostbank.com, fill in your employer’s details, your personal details, and your Frost account number, then hand it to your employer’s payroll or HR department. Frost’s routing number, 114000093, is already printed on the form, so the only Frost-specific number you need to look up is your account number.1Frost Bank. Direct Deposit Switch Form
Where to Download It
The form lives on the Frost Bank forms page at frostbank.com/forms, under the Personal section. Print it, fill it out by hand, and give it to payroll. If you can’t locate it, Frost customer support is reachable at (877) 714-4932.2Frost Bank. Forms: Business and Personal Banking Application
What Goes on the Form
The form has three sections. Gather this information before you start writing.1Frost Bank. Direct Deposit Switch Form
Company Information
Write in your employer’s legal name as it appears on your pay stub, plus the street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Avoid shortened nicknames or a DBA — payroll needs to match the form to your record in their system.
Employee Information
Enter your full legal name exactly as your employer has it on file, your employee ID if your company uses one, and your Social Security number. A name mismatch is one of the most common reasons a form gets kicked back.
New Bank Information
Check the box for your account type (checking, savings, or money market), write in your Frost account number, then sign and date the bottom. The signed authorization is what tells your employer to redirect your deposit; payroll won’t process it without the signature. The routing number, 114000093, is already filled in.1Frost Bank. Finding Your Frost Account Number
If you have Frost checks, your account number is printed along the bottom edge, just to the right of the routing number.1Frost Bank. Direct Deposit Switch Form If you don’t have checks yet, you have other options:
- Log into the Frost mobile app or online banking, tap your account, and open Account Details. Both the routing and account numbers appear on screen.
- Call (877) 714-4932 or visit a branch, where a banker can look it up with proper identification.
Giving the Form to Your Employer
Frost doesn’t process the switch for you. You hand the completed form to your employer’s payroll or HR department. Some employers also ask for a voided Frost check or a bank-generated verification letter as a second confirmation. If you don’t have checks, a Frost branch can issue a letter confirming your account and routing details.
Once payroll receives the form, most systems send a prenote, a zero-dollar test transaction through the ACH network, to verify the account and routing numbers before any real money moves. Under ACH rules, the employer must wait at least three banking days after the prenote before sending a live deposit. In practice, the full switchover usually takes one to two pay cycles, because the prenote has to line up with your employer’s next payroll run.1Frost Bank. Direct Deposit Switch Form You may receive a paper check or a deposit to your old bank in the meantime, so don’t close your previous account until a Frost deposit actually lands.
Confirming It Worked
Watch for a credit in your Frost account on payday. The transaction will show your employer’s name and the payment type. Turning on push notifications or email alerts in the Frost app saves you from checking manually.
If two full pay periods pass with nothing arriving, call your employer’s payroll department first. The problem is almost always on their side: a transposed digit, a name mismatch, or a form sitting unprocessed in an HR inbox. Once deposits do start flowing, federal rules require Frost to make electronically deposited funds available for withdrawal no later than the next business day after receipt.3eCFR. 12 CFR Part 229 – Availability of Funds and Collection of Checks Deposits into a Frost personal checking account can also post up to two days before scheduled payday through the bank’s Early Pay feature, which activates automatically with no separate enrollment. The exact head start depends on when your employer transmits payroll instructions, and Early Pay applies only to personal checking, not savings or money market accounts.4Frost Bank. When the Switch Form Does Not Apply
The Direct Deposit Switch Form is for employer payroll only. Two common deposits use different processes:
- Social Security, SSI, and other federal benefits. Enroll through your my Social Security account at ssa.gov, by phone at 1-800-772-1213, or in person at a Frost branch. You’ll still use routing number 114000093 and your Frost account number.5Social Security Administration. Direct Deposit
- IRS tax refunds. Enter Frost’s routing number and your account number directly on your federal return through your tax software, your preparer, or the paper form. Verify every digit; a wrong number can delay your refund by weeks, and the IRS will not chase down a misrouted payment.6Internal Revenue Service.
