How to Cancel Your Zoom Tan Membership Online

To cancel your Zoom Tan membership, sign in to the company’s online cancellation portal at buy.zoomtan.com/cancel-membership before 11:59 PM Eastern the night before your next draft date. It’s the only method Zoom Tan accepts. Phone calls, emails, and in-person requests at a salon will not cancel your account.¹

Fix These Two Things First

The portal will refuse to cancel an account with an unpaid balance. Pay any past-due amount through buy.zoomtan.com/pay-balance or at any Zoom Tan location before you try to cancel.²

The other blocker is outdated contact information. Sign-in uses the phone number on file, so if your number has changed you’ll need to visit a salon with a valid driver’s license to update your records before the cancellation page will let you in.²

Cancel Through the Member Portal

Go to buy.zoomtan.com/cancel-membership and sign in with your date of birth and the phone number on your account.³ You can reach the same page from Zoom Tan’s site by opening the “My Account” menu and choosing “Cancel Membership.”⁴

Salon employees cannot cancel for you. Zoom Tan’s own policy tells members to report any employee who claims otherwise to customer service at (239) 465-4285.¹

Know Your Deadline

You have until 11:59 PM Eastern the night before your draft date to cancel and avoid the next monthly charge. There is no 30-day notice period. Miss that cutoff, and you’ll be billed for another month; you can’t cancel again until that charge posts.¹

Your draft date is the day of the month Zoom Tan pulls your payment. If you’re not sure when that is, look at your last Zoom Tan charge on your bank or card statement. That date repeats every month.

The 10-Day Minimum for New Members

You can’t cancel the auto-pay portion of your membership online during your first 10 days. Once 10 days have passed since you joined, the online cancellation option opens up.¹

What Happens After You Submit

Canceling stops future auto-pay charges. It doesn’t cut off access right away. You keep your membership through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and access ends when that period does.¹

Wait for the Confirmation Text

Zoom Tan sends a text message confirming a successful cancellation, and that text is the only proof that counts. No text, no cancellation, regardless of what the screen showed or what anyone told you.¹ If a few minutes pass and nothing arrives, go back to the portal and try again, or contact customer service.

Check Your Statements

Keep watching your bank or credit card statements through the next billing cycle or two. If Zoom Tan charges you after you have a confirmation text, that timestamped text is documentation you can use to dispute the charge with your bank as an unauthorized recurring transaction.

If the Portal Won’t Work

An unpaid balance and mismatched contact information are the usual causes. If both are cleared and the site still won’t cooperate, contact customer service:

Customer service can help sort out account problems, but they’ll still send you to the online portal to finish the cancellation itself.¹ If you’ve lost access to the phone number on the account, take a valid driver’s license to a Zoom Tan location to update your contact details, then log back in.²

A Note on Yearly Plans

The steps above cover Zoom Tan’s month-to-month memberships, which have no long-term contract and no early termination fees.⁵ Zoom Tan also offers yearly plans, and the cancellation terms for those aren’t spelled out on the company’s public pages.
