How to Cancel Your Redbox Rx Subscription: Steps, Refunds, and Transfers

To cancel your Redbox Rx subscription, log into your patient portal, open the treatments section of your dashboard, and click “Stop Automatic Refills.” That halts all future refills from being filled and shipped, and you’ll get a confirmation email once it processes.1RedBox Rx. RedBox Rx FAQ Save that email. It’s your proof if a charge shows up later.

Timing matters. Redbox Rx queues refills automatically based on when your medication is expected to run out, and once an order has been processed by the pharmacy it cannot be canceled or refunded. If you’ve decided to stop, do it now rather than closer to your next expected shipment.

Canceling Through Your Online Account

The steps, in order:

  • Log into your account on the Redbox Rx website.
  • Go to the treatments section of your dashboard.
  • Click “Stop Automatic Refills.”
  • Watch for the confirmation email and keep it.

That single button stops all future automatic refills from being filled and shipped.1RedBox Rx. RedBox Rx FAQ If a charge later appears that you believe was unauthorized, the confirmation email is what resolves the dispute quickly with either the company or your card issuer.

Pausing Instead of Canceling

If you aren’t sure you want to end the subscription for good, the same account tools let you pause refills, refill early, or change quantities without canceling.1RedBox Rx. RedBox Rx FAQ Pausing is useful when you’re traveling or have extra medication on hand and want a break before deciding.

Canceling by Phone or Email

If the portal isn’t working or you want a human on the other end, Redbox Rx takes cancellations by phone and email. Email info@redboxrx.com or call customer service. Support hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central Time on weekends. A phone agent will likely verify your identity using your date of birth or payment details before making the change.

Email has one practical edge: it creates a written record. Include your full name, the email address on your account, and a clear statement that you want all automatic refills stopped. Keep the reply.

You aren’t obligated to call if you signed up online. The FTC’s click-to-cancel rule requires sellers to make cancellation at least as simple as sign-up, so a company that let you enroll online must let you cancel online without routing you through a representative.2eCFR. 16 CFR 425.6 – Simple Cancellation (Click to Cancel)

What You Can and Can’t Get Refunded

Redbox Rx separates consultation fees from medication charges. If a provider reviews your case and decides not to prescribe treatment, the consultation fee is refundable. If the provider does prescribe, the consultation fee is not refundable because you received the service you paid for.3RedBox Rx. Refund Policies

Medications already processed and shipped cannot be canceled or refunded. That is not just a company policy. FDA guidance instructs pharmacists not to return dispensed drug products to stock, because the strength, quality, and purity of a medication cannot be verified once it has left the pharmacy’s possession.4Food and Drug Administration. CPG Sec. 460.300 Return of Unused Prescription Drugs to Pharmacy Stock

Scheduled video visits work differently. You can cancel and get a refund on a video visit up to 24 hours before the appointment. Inside that 24-hour window, call provider support to reschedule.1RedBox Rx. RedBox Rx FAQ All refunds are issued at Redbox Rx’s sole discretion.3RedBox Rx. Refund Policies

If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel

This is the common snag. You cancel, you receive the confirmation, and another charge posts anyway. It usually means a refill was already queued before the cancellation processed.

Start with Redbox Rx support and attach your cancellation confirmation email. Most billing errors resolve quickly at this stage because you have documentation. If the company won’t reverse the charge, dispute it with your card issuer. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you generally have 60 days from the statement date to dispute an unauthorized credit card charge. Debit card disputes have shorter windows and weaker protections, which is one reason to keep recurring subscriptions on a credit card.

You can also file a complaint at ReportFraud.ftc.gov if a company makes cancellation unreasonably difficult or continues billing after a confirmed cancellation.5Federal Trade Commission. Before You Cancel: Records and Prescription Transfer

Canceling stops the refills; it doesn’t erase your medical history or automatically void your underlying prescription. Two things are worth doing before you close things out.

First, download or request copies of consultation notes, prescription records, and any lab results through your account portal while you still have access. Under federal privacy law you have the right to inspect and get a copy of your protected health information for as long as the provider keeps it, and Redbox Rx must act on your request within 30 days, with one possible 30-day extension if they give you a written explanation for the delay.6eCFR. 45 CFR 164.524 – Access of Individuals to Protected Health Information That right survives your subscription, but pulling records now is faster.

Second, if your prescription still has valid refills and you want to continue the medication locally, you can transfer it. Call the pharmacy where you want to pick up the medication and give them Redbox Rx’s pharmacy contact information. The receiving pharmacist coordinates the transfer directly with Redbox Rx’s pharmacy. Most states allow at least one transfer of a non-controlled prescription between pharmacies.
