To cancel a Pure Flix subscription, sign in wherever you originally subscribed and turn off the recurring charge there: on the Pure Flix website if you signed up directly, or through Amazon, Apple, Roku, or Google Play if you subscribed through one of those platforms. Pure Flix does not refund partial billing periods, so cancel before your next renewal date if you want to avoid another charge.
Check Who’s Actually Billing You
Before you click anything, pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the merchant name on the recurring charge. If it reads “Pure Flix” or “Great American Pure Flix,” you signed up through the website. If it reads “Amazon,” “Apple,” “Google,” or “Roku,” the cancellation has to happen inside that platform. Trying to cancel in the wrong place is the most common reason people think the cancel button is missing.
Cancel on the Pure Flix Website
Log into your account at PureFlix.com from a web browser. Click “Manage Account” in the upper-right corner, then open your subscription details and select the option to cancel. The site runs a short confirmation flow and then shows an on-screen confirmation that your subscription is set to end.
Take a screenshot of that confirmation page. Pure Flix also sends a confirmation email, but keeping your own copy protects you if the email lands in spam or a later charge needs disputing.
Cancel Through Amazon
Open your Amazon account and go to “Your Memberships and Subscriptions.” Find the Pure Flix entry, select “Manage Subscription,” then choose “Cancel Subscription” under Advanced Controls. You can also turn off auto-renewal from the same page, which stops future charges while keeping your access through the end of the current billing period.
Cancel Through Apple
The Apple cancellation happens in your device settings, not the Pure Flix app. Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap “Subscriptions.” Find Pure Flix in the list, tap it, and tap “Cancel Subscription.” If there’s no cancel button and you see a red expiration message, the subscription is already canceled. Changes made on one Apple device apply across the rest.
Cancel Through Roku
From the Roku home screen, use the arrow buttons to highlight the Pure Flix app, then press the Star button on your remote. Select “Manage subscription,” then choose “Turn off auto-renew.” Your access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. If you don’t have the remote in front of you, you can manage the same settings in a browser at my.roku.com.
Cancel Through Google Play
On an Android device, open the Google Play app and go to your subscriptions. You can also reach the same screen through Settings, then Google, then your name, then “Manage your Google Account,” then “Payments & subscriptions,” then “Manage subscriptions.” Tap the Pure Flix subscription, then tap “Cancel subscription.”
Canceling During the Free Trial
Pure Flix offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access through the end of the seven days and you won’t be charged. Canceling on day one still leaves you the remaining six days of access.
What Happens After You Cancel
Canceling stops future charges, but your viewing access does not shut off right away. You keep watching through the end of whatever period you already paid for, monthly or annual.
Refunds are the sticking point. Pure Flix payments are nonrefundable, and there are no credits for partially used periods. If you’re five months into an annual plan and cancel, you get the remaining seven months of access but no money back. That makes timing especially important for annual subscribers deciding whether to renew.
If the Cancel Button Isn’t There
A missing cancel button on the Pure Flix website almost always means one of two things: the subscription is already canceled, or you signed up through a third-party platform and have to cancel there instead.
If you’re not sure which email is attached to your account, go to the Pure Flix password reset page and try each email you might have used. If a reset email arrives, that address has an account. This helps when someone else in your household set the subscription up.
If you’ve confirmed the right account and still can’t cancel, clear your browser’s cache and history or try a different browser. Site glitches occasionally block account pages from loading.
When self-service still fails, Pure Flix support is available Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mountain time, through the chat icon on the support site or by texting 1-855-797-9690. Standard messaging rates apply. A chatbot handles basic questions around the clock. Pure Flix does not offer voice phone support; ticket submissions come back by email during the same business hours.
If You’re Charged After Canceling
If a charge appears after you’ve confirmed cancellation, contact Pure Flix support first with your confirmation in hand. Most post-cancellation charges trace back to one of two things: the cancellation was processed on a different account than the one being billed, or the request didn’t fully complete on a third-party platform.
If support can’t resolve it, dispute the charge with your bank or credit card issuer. Under federal law, you generally have 60 days from the date the statement was sent to dispute a billing error in writing. Your cancellation confirmation email or screenshot is the key evidence, so keep it for at least a couple of billing cycles after you cancel.
