To cancel a PeopleLooker subscription, log in to your account, scroll to the footer, click “Contact Us,” choose “Cancel My Account,” and confirm when prompted.1PeopleLooker. How Do I Cancel My PeopleLooker Account If you’d rather not use the site, you can cancel by phone, email, or live chat. If you signed up through a mobile app, you’ll cancel through Apple or Google Play instead. Either way, keep going until you get a confirmation on screen or by email, because a partial attempt leaves the subscription active and you’ll be charged at the next renewal.
Canceling on the Website
Some older instructions tell you to look for an “Account Settings” or “Membership” tab. That path doesn’t exist on PeopleLooker. The working route is through the footer: log in, click “Contact Us,” and select “Cancel My Account.”1PeopleLooker. How Do I Cancel My PeopleLooker Account
PeopleLooker also lists a “one-touch cancel option,” a “Chat With Us Live” link on the site, and a contact form on the “My Account” page.1PeopleLooker. How Do I Cancel My PeopleLooker Account Whichever you pick, follow it all the way to a confirmation screen or confirmation email. Save that message. It’s your proof if a charge shows up later.
Canceling by Phone, Email, or Chat
If the website route stalls, contact support directly:
- Phone: 1-800-592-7153. Have your 9-digit Member ID ready so the representative can pull up the account.2PeopleLooker. Billing
- Email: support@peoplelooker.com. Include your Member ID, the email address on the account, and a clear statement that you want to cancel.3PeopleLooker. Contact Us
- Chat: PeopleLooker’s AI chat assistant runs 24 hours a day on the website.3PeopleLooker. Contact Us
Email is worth using even if you also cancel another way, because it creates a timestamped written record. PeopleLooker doesn’t publish specific phone hours, so if no one picks up, chat or email may be faster.
If You’ve Lost Access to the Account
You can still cancel without your login by emailing support@peoplelooker.com or calling the support line. Send whatever you have: the name on the account, the signup email, and the last four digits of the card being charged. PeopleLooker doesn’t publish a formal lost-access procedure, so expect some verification back-and-forth before the cancellation is processed.1PeopleLooker. How Do I Cancel My PeopleLooker Account
Canceling if You Signed Up Through an App
If your subscription was purchased through a mobile app, PeopleLooker can’t cancel it. The app store that took your payment controls the billing, so you have to cancel through that platform.
iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find PeopleLooker, and tap Cancel Subscription.4Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Android
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & Subscriptions, select PeopleLooker, and tap Cancel.5PeopleLooker. How to Cancel App Subscription
On either platform, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Any refund request for an app store purchase has to go through Apple or Google. PeopleLooker’s own support team can’t refund charges those platforms handled.6PeopleLooker. How Can I Get a Refund
The 7-Day Trial Traps a Lot of People
PeopleLooker offers a 7-day trial for $1 that includes up to 100 reports but no PDF downloads.7PeopleLooker. Find Coupons, Promos, Trial Offers and Deals If you don’t cancel before the seventh day, it converts automatically to a recurring monthly subscription at the standard rate. Set a reminder a day or two before the trial ends so you have time to cancel and still get a confirmation.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
First, check the timing. Your access runs through the end of the paid term, so a charge that posted right around your cancellation may be legitimate rather than a mistake.2PeopleLooker. Billing
If the charge clearly came after your cancellation confirmation, send that confirmation email or a screenshot to PeopleLooker support and ask for a reversal. If that doesn’t work, dispute the charge with your card issuer. Federal law generally gives you 60 days from the date the billing statement was sent to dispute a credit card charge in writing.8Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Dispute a Charge on My Credit Card Bill Call the number on the back of the card to start, and follow up in writing if the issuer asks you to.
Canceling Isn’t the Same as Removing Your Profile
Ending the subscription stops the billing. It doesn’t take your own listing off PeopleLooker’s public search results. To remove that, go to the opt-out page at peoplelooker.com/f/optout/search, search for your name, select your record, and click the verification link in the email PeopleLooker sends you. After you verify, the record is removed.9PeopleLooker. How Do I Remove My Information From PeopleLooker’s Search Results
Profiles can reappear later. Data brokers keep pulling from public records, and a fresh scrape can recreate your listing months after an opt-out. If staying off the site matters, plan to check back and repeat the process.
After You Cancel
PeopleLooker sends a confirmation email once the cancellation goes through. Keep it. Your account stays active through the end of the current paid term, and the subscription won’t renew after that.2PeopleLooker. Billing Check your bank or card statement during the following billing cycle to confirm no new charges appeared. If nothing new hit, you’re done.
