How to Cancel Your Mixea Subscription on DistroKid

To cancel your Mixea subscription, sign into your DistroKid account and look for Mixea under your account settings or add-on services; if no cancel option appears there, contact DistroKid support through the chat bubble at support.distrokid.com or email support@distrokid.com. Mixea has no separate login, so everything runs through DistroKid.

Cancel Before Your Renewal Date

Mixea is billed as a single $99 yearly charge, not monthly, and it renews automatically on the anniversary of your original signup date. That timing matters. Cancel the day after renewal and you’ve already paid for another full year. There is no publicly documented prorated refund policy, so the safe move is to cancel before the renewal date hits.

Steps Inside Your DistroKid Account

Sign in at distrokid.com and find Mixea in your account settings or add-on services. DistroKid’s interface shifts periodically, so the exact menu path can change, but you’re looking for your active Mixea subscription and its management options.

If a cancellation or “manage subscription” option appears on the Mixea page, follow the prompts. You’ll likely be asked why you’re leaving and then shown a confirmation screen. Click through until you see a clear message that the subscription has been canceled, and screenshot that page.

If You Can’t Find a Cancel Button

Most people get stuck here. DistroKid’s add-on services don’t always have a self-service cancel button in plain view, and Mixea often requires contacting support, the same way DistroVid does.

The fastest route is the chat bubble in the lower right corner of support.distrokid.com, which can connect you with a human agent who can process the cancellation. You can also email support@distrokid.com and ask them to cancel your Mixea subscription specifically. Include the email address tied to your DistroKid account so they can locate it quickly.

Download Your Mastered Tracks First

Before you cancel, download every mastered track you want to keep. Go to distrokid.com/mixea and click “My mastered tracks” in the upper right to reach your files, then save them to a hard drive, cloud storage, or both. Once your subscription ends, access to those files through the platform is no longer guaranteed.

Confirm the Cancellation Stuck

You should receive a confirmation email from DistroKid once the cancellation processes. Keep it. Your Mixea access stays active through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and then the mastering tools go away.

Canceling Mixea does not cancel your main DistroKid distribution account; those are separate subscriptions, and your distributed music stays in stores regardless of your Mixea status. About a week after your next would-be renewal date, check your bank or credit card statement to confirm no new charge appeared. If one did, contact DistroKid support with your cancellation confirmation and request a reversal.
