To cancel a Hallow subscription, you have to go through the platform where you originally signed up: Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or the Hallow website. Hallow itself cannot cancel or refund a subscription that was billed through one of the app stores. And deleting the app from your phone does nothing to the charges.
Find Out Where You Subscribed
Check your bank or credit card statement for the merchant name on the Hallow charge. “Apple.com/bill” or “Apple Services” means you subscribed through Apple. “Google” or “Google Play” means the Play Store. “Amazon” points to the Amazon Appstore. If the charge just says “Hallow,” you subscribed directly on the website. You can also search your email for the original purchase receipt, which will name the billing platform.
This step matters because Hallow cannot cancel or refund subscriptions managed by Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku. Those platforms handle their own billing.
Cancel Through Apple
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Hallow, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription.
If you’re on a free trial through Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Cancel Through Google Play
On your Android device, open Settings, tap Google, then tap your name and Manage your Google Account. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions. Find Hallow, tap it, and select Cancel subscription.
Uninstalling the app on Android does not cancel the subscription. Google’s own support pages say so directly.
Cancel Through Amazon
Log into Amazon.com, click Your Account, and under Digital Content and Devices select Content and Devices. Click the Preferences tab, find Manage Your Subscriptions under Digital Content, locate Hallow, click Actions, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Cancel Through Roku
Press the Home button on your Roku remote, highlight the Hallow app, press the Star button, select Manage subscription, and choose Turn off auto-renew. You can also do this at my.roku.com/subscriptions under Active subscriptions.
If you only watch Hallow on your Roku but originally subscribed through a different platform, cancel through that original platform. Roku can only manage subscriptions purchased through Roku.
Cancel on the Hallow Website
If you subscribed directly through Hallow, go to hallow.com/settings/subscription and log in using the same method you used to create the account (email, phone number, Apple ID, or Google). Tap the three-line menu icon in the upper right, go to Settings, then Subscription, and follow the prompts to cancel.
Hallow sends a confirmation email to the address on your account after you cancel. Save it. If a charge shows up later, that email is your proof.
Deleting the App Doesn’t Cancel Anything
Removing the Hallow app from your phone or tablet has no effect on your subscription. The billing relationship is between you and whichever platform processed the payment. You can delete the app, factory-reset the phone, and the charges will keep coming until you formally cancel through the steps above.
Free trials work the same way. Every Hallow trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. If you signed up for a trial and forgot about it, check your statements now.
Confirming the Cancellation and What You Keep
You keep access to premium content through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel three months into an annual plan, and you still have nine months of access. After that, the account drops to Hallow’s free tier.
To confirm the cancellation went through, open the subscription section on whichever platform you used. It should show an expiration date rather than a renewal date. If you still see an upcoming renewal, the cancellation didn’t complete and you need to try again.
Requesting a Refund
Refund rules depend on who billed you. Hallow reviews refund requests case by case if you submit them within 14 days of the charge, but only for subscriptions purchased directly through hallow.com. Refunds aren’t guaranteed.
For Apple subscriptions, Hallow cannot issue refunds at all. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, select “Request a refund,” choose your reason, and pick the Hallow subscription from your purchase history. Apple typically responds within 48 hours.
Amazon Appstore support will typically grant a refund if you reach out within seven days of the charge. For Google Play, you can request a refund through the Play Store within 48 hours of purchase; after that, Google directs you to contact the developer.
