How to Cancel Your Globe Subscription: Lock-In Fees and Final Bill

To cancel a Globe subscription, open the GlobeOne app and submit a termination request under Help, dial 211 from a Globe mobile line, or visit any Globe store with a valid government-issued ID and your account number. Only the registered account owner can file the request. If your postpaid plan is still inside its lock-in period, you’ll owe pre-termination fees before the account closes.

If You Only Want to Stop an Auto-Renewing Promo

Many people looking to “cancel Globe” actually just want to turn off a data or call promo that keeps renewing. That’s a text message, not a termination. Send your promo keyword followed by STOP to 8080. For GoSURF50, you’d text GOSURF50 STOP to 8080. The same format works for most Globe and TM promos.

The STOP command cancels the next renewal only. Your current promo keeps running until it expires on its own; you can’t cut it off mid-cycle.

What to Have Ready Before You Request Postpaid Cancellation

Pull these together before you contact Globe:

  • Your account number, which appears on the upper portion of your monthly billing statement.
  • A valid government-issued ID with the name matching the account.
  • Your contract details, including plan type and when the lock-in period ends.

Only the registered account owner can request termination. If someone else needs to handle it for you, Globe requires a notarized Special Power of Attorney naming that person as your authorized representative, along with copies of both IDs.1Globe. Three Ways to Submit the Cancellation

Globe offers three channels for postpaid account termination.3Globe. Postpaid Mobile Account Termination – Help and Support

  • Through the GlobeOne app. Tap the Help icon on your dashboard, select Get Help, and submit a termination request. This creates a digital record of when you filed.
  • By phone. Dial 211 from a Globe mobile line, 808 for TM, or (02) 7730-1000 from a landline.4Globe Telecom. Contact Us – Get in Touch with Globe Telecom
  • In person at any Globe store. Bring your ID and account details. A store visit also lets you return equipment in the same trip.

Whichever channel you use, get a reference number or confirmation code before you hang up or leave. That number is your proof that the request was logged and when. If Globe keeps billing you past your termination date, the reference number is what resolves the dispute. Without it, you’re relying on Globe’s records alone.

Lock-In Periods and Pre-Termination Fees

Globe postpaid plans don’t share one lock-in rule. The length tracks the plan you signed:5Globe. GPlans FAQs

  • GPlan with Device runs 24 or 36 months, depending on the device.
  • All-New GPlan PLUS comes with no contract, 12 months, or 24 months, depending on what you chose at sign-up.
  • GFiber carries a 24-month lock-up by default, unless you opted for the no-lock-up option at enrollment.6Globe. GFiber Terms and Conditions

Cancel inside the lock-in and fees apply. For a GPlan with Device, Globe calculates the fee from your remaining contract months plus unpaid device amortization. For a GPlan with GCash, the fee is based on the remaining contract period and the GCash amount credited to you.5Globe. GPlans FAQs

GFiber

For GFiber plans priced at ₱1,699 and above, the pre-termination charge is a ₱4,500 modem fee, plus two times your monthly recurring fee, plus any remaining device amortization.6Globe. GFiber Terms and Conditions On a ₱1,699/month plan, that’s at least ₱7,898 before any amortization balance is added.

FTTR Bundles

Fiber-to-the-Room bundles cost more to leave. On top of the ₱4,500 modem fee, two times MRF, and amortization balance, you also owe the full device cost of the bundle equipment: ₱59,976 for the FTTR Bundle 4999, and ₱83,976 for the FTTR Bundle 7499.7Globe. FTTR Terms and Conditions

If the Account Holder Has Died

A family member or estate representative can request termination by presenting the death certificate and valid IDs for both the deceased account holder and the person filing the request.3Globe. Postpaid Mobile Account Termination – Help and Support Visit a Globe store or call 211 to start the process. Requirements may vary with the specific account, so confirm the full document list before making the trip. Any outstanding balance still has to be settled as part of the estate’s obligations.

Final Bill and Equipment Return

After Globe processes your termination, you’ll get a final billing statement covering charges through your disconnection date. Read it closely. A full-month charge instead of a partial one, or charges dated after your reference number was issued, are worth disputing with that reference number in hand.

Globe retains ownership of any hardware it provided, including fiber modems, routers, and related peripherals, and these must be returned at disconnection.8Globe. Globe Fiber – Terms and Conditions The simplest route is to bring the equipment with you when you file the cancellation at a Globe store. If you cancel by phone or app, ask the representative where to return the hardware. Keeping equipment past the disconnection date risks extra charges on your final bill.

An unpaid balance left unresolved after account closure can be forwarded to a collection agency. Settling the final bill promptly avoids that and closes the account cleanly on Globe’s end.

If Globe Won’t Process the Cancellation

If Globe doesn’t process the request in a reasonable time, or if you’ve been charged incorrectly, you can escalate to the National Telecommunications Commission. The NTC accepts complaints through its regional offices and requires a completed NTC complaint form, a copy of your valid ID, your Globe account number, and a summary of the issue.

Exhaust Globe’s own channels first and keep the reference number from your original cancellation request. The NTC is more likely to act quickly when you can show a documented trail of attempts to resolve the issue directly with Globe.
