To cancel a Genspark subscription, open your account’s Plan page, click the “Manage” dropdown, and select “Cancel Subscription” if you signed up on the website. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through your phone’s subscription settings instead, because the website dashboard can’t touch mobile billing. Either way, your paid features stay active until the current billing period ends.
Canceling on the Genspark Website
Sign in, go to the Plan page in your account settings, open the “Manage” dropdown, and choose “Cancel Subscription.”1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans That is the whole flow. No confirmation gauntlet, no hidden menu.
Before you click, check whether you’re on monthly or annual billing. Canceling an annual plan partway through the year still leaves you on the paid tier until the year ends, and the refund window for annual charges is very short.
Canceling a Mobile Subscription
This is where people get charged after they thought they’d canceled. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, canceling on Genspark’s website does nothing. Apple and Google handle that billing themselves, so you have to cancel in the store where you signed up.1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans
On an iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Genspark, and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Genspark, and tap Cancel. Both platforms show you the date your access will end.
Refund Windows
Genspark’s refund policy is tight. For customers outside the EU, UK, and Turkey:
- Monthly plans: refund requests must be made within 24 hours of the charge.
- Annual plans: refund requests must be made within 72 hours of the charge.
Customers in the EU, UK, and Turkey get 14 days from the purchase date, for both monthly and annual plans.1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans
Even inside the window, Genspark can reject a refund if their system shows heavy use of the subscription before the request, and they won’t process a second refund after approving a first one.1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans If you’ve already burned through most of the credits, expect the request to be denied.
Miss the window and the practical option is to cancel and use out the rest of the period you already paid for.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your paid plan stays fully active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans When that period ends, the account drops to the free tier and you lose the expanded credits, the extra AI Drive storage, and the premium image models.
If you change your mind before the period ends, you can reactivate without a gap in service.1Genspark Help Center. Membership Plans
Canceling Is Not Deleting Your Account
Canceling only stops future charges. Your account and your data stay on Genspark’s servers. If you want your personal data removed, you need to close the account itself by emailing privacy@genspark.ai. Genspark’s privacy policy states that account data is deleted within 30 days of closure.2Genspark. Privacy Policy
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and several other states have specific data deletion rights under state privacy laws, which Genspark acknowledges, and EU and UK residents have similar rights under GDPR.2Genspark. Privacy Policy A plain request to delete your account and personal data is enough. You don’t need to cite statutes.
If You Get Charged After Canceling
Contact Genspark’s help center first at genspark.ai/helpcenter. Response times have been reported as slow, sometimes two to three weeks, so don’t rely on email as your only route. When you write, use a clear subject like “Subscription Cancellation Request,” include your account email, and save a copy for your records.
