To cancel your Flow subscription, send written notice to Flow at least 30 days before the end of your current billing cycle, return any equipment they provided, and settle the final bill. If you’re still inside a minimum contract period, expect a cancellation charge covering the remaining months; if that period has already ended, a properly timed 30-day notice should close the account cleanly.
Before You Contact Flow
Pull a recent bill or log into your online account and confirm two things: your account number and whether you’re still inside a minimum contract period. That contract status is what decides whether you’ll owe an early termination charge. If you signed up on a 12- or 24-month promotional deal within the past year or two, you’re probably still in it.
Telecom carriers are required under federal privacy rules to verify your identity before changing an account, usually through a password or PIN tied to the account.1eCFR. 47 CFR Part 64 Subpart U – Privacy of Customer Information If you set a PIN when you opened the account and have since forgotten it, reset it before you call or visit a store. Without it, the representative can’t process anything.
How to Submit Your Cancellation Notice
Flow’s terms require written notice to terminate service, delivered at least 30 days before the end of the current billing cycle once your minimum contract period has expired.2Flow. Terms and Conditions for Our Users The 30-day clock starts when Flow receives your notice, not when you send it. Don’t cut it close.
Three practical ways to get the notice in:
- Call Flow’s customer service line for your market. In Jamaica, the number is 1-800-804-2994; other islands have their own local numbers on the Flow website. State clearly that you want to cancel and ask the agent to confirm your notice has been logged with a reference number.
- Visit a Flow retail location with a valid photo ID. Ask for a printed receipt or written confirmation that your request was received, with the date on it. That paper is your proof if anything goes wrong later.
- Send a letter or email to Flow’s local customer support address. If you mail it, use a tracked delivery method so you can show when it arrived.
Whichever route you take, document everything. Write down the date, the name of anyone you spoke with, and every reference or confirmation number. Providers occasionally lose cancellation requests, and without a paper trail you have no leverage to dispute continued charges.
What Cancellation Will Cost
If you cancel before your minimum contract period ends, Flow calculates the cancellation fee by adding the remaining monthly service charges from your termination date through the end of that minimum period.2Flow. Terms and Conditions for Our Users On a bundled plan with promotional discounts, the charge may also include repayment of those discounts, which adds up quickly on a heavily discounted plan.
There is one important exception. If Flow changes your terms and conditions in a way that disadvantages you or raises your charges, you have 30 days from the date of their notice to cancel the affected service without owing any termination fee.2Flow. Terms and Conditions for Our Users If you’ve received notice of a price increase or service change, check the date immediately; this is the one scenario where the early exit is genuinely free.
Once the minimum period has passed and the contract has rolled into automatic renewal, cancellation with proper 30-day written notice should not trigger any early termination charge. If one shows up on your final bill in that situation, dispute it in writing right away.
Returning Your Equipment
Flow keeps ownership of any equipment it provided, including modems, set-top boxes, and routers, unless you bought them outright. When you cancel, those items must be returned immediately.2Flow. Terms and Conditions for Our Users Don’t wait for a reminder. Providers treat unreturned gear as license to bill you full replacement cost.
Return equipment to a Flow retail location in person whenever possible, and get a receipt listing each item by serial number or description. Hold onto that receipt for at least six months. If you can’t return in person, ship by a tracked and insured method, photograph each item before packing, and save the delivery confirmation. These steps are the difference between a clean exit and months of arguing over phantom equipment charges.
Checking Your Final Bill
Flow will issue a final statement covering usage through your termination date. If you prepaid for a full month and cancel partway through, the terms do not guarantee a pro-rated refund for the unused portion; check your specific contract, because policies vary by market and plan type.
Review the final bill line by line. Watch for equipment fees on items you returned, service charges past your disconnection date, or termination fees you shouldn’t owe. If something looks wrong, dispute it in writing within the first billing cycle. Verbal disputes are easy for a provider to ignore; written ones create a record.

If You Signed Up Online
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any company that charges recurring fees through an internet transaction to provide a simple way to stop those charges.3Congress.gov. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act The FTC’s Negative Option Rule, which took full effect in May 2025, requires that cancellation be at least as easy as sign-up.4Federal Register. Negative Option Rule If you enrolled online but are told you can only cancel in person or by mail, that may violate federal rules. These protections apply primarily to subscribers in U.S. jurisdictions, including U.S. territories in the Caribbean; elsewhere, your rights depend on local telecommunications regulations.
If You’re an Active-Duty Servicemember
Active-duty servicemembers who receive orders to relocate for 90 days or more to a location where Flow doesn’t operate can terminate their contract with no early termination fee under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. The protection explicitly covers commercial mobile service, telephone and internet access, and multichannel video programming. Send Flow a copy of your military orders with a signed termination letter, ideally by certified mail. Flow must refund prepaid amounts covering the period after your termination date within 60 days, except for the remainder of the billing period in which the termination occurs.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 50 USC 3956 – Termination of Certain Consumer Contracts Taxes and legitimate balances owed before termination still have to be paid, but the early exit penalty is waived.
If Charges Appear After You’ve Cancelled
The two most common post-cancellation problems are equipment charges for items you returned and continued billing after your disconnection date. Both are avoidable with the documentation above, but provider-side mistakes happen constantly.
If Flow won’t resolve a billing dispute directly, subscribers in U.S. jurisdictions can file an informal complaint with the Federal Communications Commission through its online Consumer Complaint Center.6Federal Communications Commission. FCC Complaints A filed complaint requires the provider to respond, which tends to accelerate resolution. Outside U.S. jurisdiction, contact your country’s telecommunications regulator.
If an unpaid balance is sent to collections, you have the right to request written verification of the debt within 30 days of the collector’s first contact, and the collector must stop collection activity until it provides that verification.7Federal Trade Commission. Debt Collection FAQs This is where your cancellation confirmation number and equipment return receipt become critical. A collector who can’t verify the debt against your documentation has a weak case, and you have grounds to dispute the entry with the credit bureaus.
