How to Cancel Your Epix Subscription: MGM+, Apple, and Roku

To cancel your MGM+ subscription, go to whichever service actually bills you: the MGM+ website, Apple, Google Play, Amazon Prime Video, Roku, YouTube TV, or your cable provider. Canceling in the wrong place does nothing to stop the charge. Whichever route you take, your access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and MGM+ does not issue prorated refunds.1Amazon. Cancel a Prime Video Add-On Subscription

Find Out Who Actually Bills You

Check your bank or credit card statement first. Look at the company name next to the charge. If it says Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku, that platform handles your subscription and you have to cancel there. A charge from MGM+ directly means you signed up through the service’s own website or app.

You can also confirm this inside the MGM+ app. Open the account, settings, or subscription section on whatever device you normally watch on. If it tells you to manage your subscription through Apple or Amazon, that’s your answer. Getting this right up front saves you from the most common cancellation failure: unsubscribing on one platform while a different one keeps charging you.

Cancel Directly Through MGM+

If you subscribed on the MGM+ website or through the standalone MGM+ app, log in at mgmplus.com. Go to your account settings, open the subscription or billing section, and select the option to cancel. Confirm through any prompts and watch for a confirmation email or an on-screen message with the date your access ends. If the cancel option isn’t where you’d expect, MGM+ runs a help center at mgmplus.com/help.

Cancel Through Amazon Prime Video

If you added MGM+ as a Prime Video channel, cancel it through Amazon. On the Prime Video site or app, open Account & Settings, select Your Subscriptions from the top menu, find MGM+, and select Unsubscribe. Confirm when prompted. Access continues until the end of the current billing period, and Amazon does not refund the remaining days.1Amazon. Cancel a Prime Video Add-On Subscription

Cancel Through Roku

If Roku bills you, use your remote to highlight the MGM+ app on the home screen. Press the Star button, select Manage Subscription, and choose Turn Off Auto-Renew. Your subscription stays active until the current billing cycle ends.6Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

One thing to watch for: if you subscribed elsewhere and just use the Roku app to watch, Roku’s subscription menu won’t offer a cancel option. Roku’s support page says to contact the service directly in that case.6Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

Cancel Through YouTube TV

If MGM+ is a YouTube TV add-on, log in at tv.youtube.com in a browser, click your profile icon, and go to Settings. Open the Memberships tab, find MGM+, and remove it. If the option isn’t showing up correctly, YouTube TV offers live chat through its help center.

Cancel Through a Cable or Satellite Provider

Subscribers who get MGM+ through a package like Xfinity, Spectrum, or DirecTV usually have to cancel through that provider. Steps vary, but the process typically runs through a channel management or premium add-on section in the account settings, whether on the set-top box, the provider’s app, or its website.

On Xfinity Flex, for example, open the Manage Channels app on the home screen, go to the Premium tab, select MGM+, and submit the cancellation. If no self-service menu works, call the provider’s customer service line. Ask for written confirmation, either an email or an updated statement showing the charge removed. Cancellations most often slip through the cracks here because the provider’s system may take a billing cycle to reflect the change.

What Happens After You Cancel

Canceling MGM+ does not immediately cut off your access on any platform. You keep watching until the paid period runs out. Cancel on day five of a monthly cycle and you have roughly three more weeks before the service shuts off.

There are no prorated refunds. Canceling early does not get money back for unused days, and this holds whether you subscribed directly or through Apple, Amazon, or another third party.1Amazon. Cancel a Prime Video Add-On Subscription

If a Charge Keeps Appearing

Most often the problem is canceling in the wrong place. If you subscribed through Apple but tried to cancel on the MGM+ website, the Apple charge keeps running. When your subscription doesn’t show up in the platform you’re checking, that’s a strong signal it lives somewhere else. Go back to your bank statement and match the charge to the right company.

If you canceled correctly and still see one more charge, check the dates. Cancellations usually process at the end of the current cycle, so a charge posted just before you canceled is normally the final one. Compare the charge date against your cancellation confirmation. If a new charge posts for a period after the one you already paid for, contact that billing platform with your confirmation on hand.

Federal rules now require subscription services to make canceling at least as easy as signing up. The Federal Trade Commission’s click-to-cancel rule prohibits companies from failing to provide a simple cancellation mechanism or making you take more steps to leave than you took to join.7Federal Trade Commission.
