To cancel a Diamond Digital subscription on Roku, turn off auto-renew for the channel either from your Roku device using the Star button on the remote, or by signing in at my.roku.com and opening your active subscriptions. The whole process takes about two minutes, and you keep access to games and on-demand content through the end of the billing period you already paid for. One thing to check first: Roku can only cancel a subscription it actually bills you for.
The Channel Is Now Called FanDuel Sports Network
Diamond Sports Group rebranded its 16 regional sports channels as FanDuel Sports Network in November 2024. If you originally signed up for Bally Sports+ or a Diamond Digital regional package, that subscription now lives under the FanDuel Sports Network app on Roku. The old Bally branding no longer appears on Roku devices, so look for “FanDuel Sports Network” in your channel list and in your Roku subscription records. The cancellation steps below work whether your device still shows the old name or the new one.
Check That Roku Is the One Billing You
Pull up your recent credit card or bank statement. If you see a charge with a descriptor like “ROKU” followed by a channel name, Roku is processing the payment on behalf of the streaming service, and you can cancel through Roku. If the charge reads “FanDuel Sports Network” or “Diamond Sports” with no Roku reference, you subscribed directly and Roku cannot cancel it for you.
You can also confirm this on the device. Press Home on your remote, then go to Settings, System, and About to see which email is linked to your Roku account. Sign in at my.roku.com with that email and look under “Active subscriptions.” If FanDuel Sports Network (or Bally Sports) is not listed there, Roku is not your billing provider, and you’ll need to cancel through whichever service is.
Cancel From Your Roku Device
This is the fastest way if the remote is nearby.
- From the Roku home screen, highlight the FanDuel Sports Network (or Bally Sports) tile with the arrow buttons.
- Press the Star button, the asterisk on your remote, to open the options menu.
- Select “Manage subscription.” The screen shows your renewal date and monthly fee.
- Select “Turn off auto-renew” and confirm when prompted.
After you confirm, the subscription status flips from active to canceled. Roku won’t charge you again, and you keep access until the current billing period runs out.
Cancel From the Roku Website
If you don’t have the device in front of you, any browser will do.
- Sign in at my.roku.com with the email tied to your Roku account.
- Go to “Manage your subscriptions” and find the entry under “Active subscriptions.”
- Click the FanDuel Sports Network or Bally Sports listing.
- Select “Manage subscription,” then “Turn off auto-renew.”
Roku may show a short retention offer or survey before finishing the cancellation. You can skip it. Access continues through the paid period, the same as canceling on the device.
If You Subscribed Somewhere Other Than Roku
Not every FanDuel Sports Network subscription runs through Roku. If you signed up on the FanDuel Sports Network website, through Amazon Prime Video, or through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Roku has no record of the subscription. Roku’s support materials note that if the “Manage subscription” option does not appear for a channel, the streaming provider manages billing directly. In that case, sign in at fanduelsportsnetwork.com or the platform where you subscribed and cancel there. Refund and access rules on those platforms may differ from Roku’s, so read the terms before you cancel.
What Happens After You Cancel
Access does not cut off the moment you cancel. Roku subscriptions are prepaid, so you keep watching through the rest of the billing period you already paid for. Once that period ends, the app stops playing premium content and prompts you to resubscribe.
Save the confirmation email Roku sends after you cancel. If a charge shows up on your statement after the cancellation date, that email is your proof. You can also recheck the status at my.roku.com anytime; the entry should read canceled or expired rather than active.
Refunds and Free Trials
Roku’s refund policy is firm. Subscriptions purchased through Roku are prepaid, final, and non-refundable, and Roku does not issue partial-term refunds. Cancel mid-cycle and you simply use up the time you already paid for.
Free trials work the same way once they convert. If you signed up for a trial, cancel before the trial window closes or Roku will roll it into a paid subscription, and that first charge is non-refundable under the same rule. A calendar reminder a day or two before the trial ends is the easiest safeguard.
For billing errors or charges you didn’t authorize, Roku points users to its support portal under “Account, payments and subscriptions.” If you were billed through Roku, that’s where the dispute belongs; charges from a direct subscription go to the streaming service instead.
