How to Cancel Your Craft Joy Subscription: Email, Refunds, and Records

To cancel a Craft Joy subscription, email hello@mycraftjoy.com and ask the company to end your subscription and stop all future charges. MyCraftJoy doesn’t offer a self-service cancellation button on its site, so email is the primary route.1MyCraftJoy. Contact Us – MyCraftJoy If the company doesn’t respond or keeps billing you, federal law gives you backup through your bank or card issuer.

What to Put in Your Cancellation Email

Send your request to hello@mycraftjoy.com. MyCraftJoy states it will respond within 24 hours.1MyCraftJoy. Contact Us – MyCraftJoy Include:

  • Your full name and the email address tied to your account (use the same address you signed up with).
  • A clear statement that you want to cancel your subscription and stop all future charges.
  • The last four digits of the card you paid with, so support can locate your account.
  • A request for written confirmation once the cancellation is processed.

Put “Cancel Subscription” in the subject line so it doesn’t get buried. Keep the message short. Save a copy of what you send and everything you get back.

If You Signed Up Through Cratejoy Instead

Some craft subscription boxes are sold through the Cratejoy marketplace rather than the seller’s own site. If your original confirmation email or bank statement points to Cratejoy.com, you can cancel yourself in about two minutes:2Cratejoy. Cancelling Your Cratejoy Subscription

  1. Log in at Cratejoy.com with the email you used to subscribe.
  2. Open the “Subscriptions” menu.
  3. Click “Track Order” next to the subscription you want to end.
  4. Click “Cancel” in the upper right, pick a reason, and confirm with “Cancel Subscription.”

If you subscribed directly through mycraftjoy.com, this path won’t work for you. Use the email method above.

Getting a Refund for Unshipped Boxes

Canceling stops future charges. It does not automatically refund the most recent one, and a refund request is a separate ask.3Cratejoy. Cancelling vs Refunding Subscriptions Whether you get money back depends on whether the box has shipped.

For orders bought through Cratejoy, you’re entitled to a full refund if nothing in your order has shipped, and a prorated refund based on unshipped boxes if part of it has.4Cratejoy. Getting a Refund for Your Cratejoy.com Order For MyCraftJoy directly, request the refund by email at the same address you used to cancel. State that you’re asking for a refund on any unshipped items, and include the date of the charge.

If the company denies a refund on a box that genuinely hasn’t shipped, a credit card chargeback or bank dispute is your fallback.

If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel

Sometimes a company doesn’t respond, or charges appear after you have written confirmation. Your bank is the next stop.

Under Regulation E, you can stop a preauthorized electronic transfer from your account by notifying your bank or credit union at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. Call the bank, ask for a stop-payment on the recurring charge, and give them the merchant name and approximate amount. The bank may take the request by phone but require written confirmation within 14 days; if you don’t send it, the stop-payment order expires.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.10 – Preauthorized Transfers

If you paid by credit card, dispute the charge with the card issuer instead. Explain that you canceled and were charged anyway, and attach your cancellation confirmation email. Credit card disputes generally resolve faster than debit card stop-payments, and the issuer typically credits your account while it investigates.

Federal Rules That Back You Up

The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any business selling through a negative option feature online to give consumers simple ways to stop recurring charges.6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet A company that makes cancellation unreasonably hard violates the law, and the Federal Trade Commission enforces it as an unfair or deceptive practice.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8404 – Enforcement by Federal Trade Commission

The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule, fully effective in July 2025, goes further. It requires sellers to make cancellation as easy as sign-up. If you enrolled online in a few clicks, the company has to let you cancel online with comparable ease. The rule also bars charging consumers without express informed consent and prohibits misrepresenting material terms during the sale.8Federal Trade Commission. If a subscription service ignores your cancellation or makes the process deliberately convoluted, file a complaint at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. The FTC doesn’t resolve individual disputes, but complaints help it identify patterns of deceptive conduct.

Keep These Records

Documentation is what separates a quick fix from a drawn-out fight. Save your cancellation email and any reply, screenshots of any confirmation page, bank or card statements showing when charges stopped, and any chat transcripts or reference numbers from calls.

Watch your statement for at least one full billing cycle after canceling. If you canceled on the 10th, check for a charge around the 10th of the following month. Catching an unauthorized charge early makes the dispute far simpler than discovering it months later.
