To cancel your Cleanomic subscription, log into your account at orders.cleanomic.com and turn off the recurring shipment, or email support@cleanomic.com with a cancellation request. The online portal is the faster of the two and takes effect immediately once you click through every confirmation screen. Email works if you’d rather have a written record or can’t get into the portal.
Cancel Through Your Online Account
Sign in at orders.cleanomic.com using the email address you used when you first subscribed. Open your subscription management settings, then cancel the subscription. Click through every prompt until the dashboard shows the subscription as inactive. Stopping partway through the confirmation screens can leave the cancellation unregistered, and the next shipment will bill as scheduled.
Before you start, pull up your most recent order confirmation. It has your subscription ID and delivery frequency, which speeds things up if the portal asks you to verify identity or pick which plan to cancel.
Cancel by Email
Send your request to support@cleanomic.com with a subject line like “Cancel Subscription.”1Cleanomic. Contact Us Include:
- Your full name as it appears on the account
- The email address tied to the account
- Your subscription ID from the original order confirmation
- Your last billing date, which helps support locate your billing profile
Save the sent message and any reply from Cleanomic. That paper trail matters if a charge shows up later and you need to dispute it.
Confirm the Cancellation Actually Posted
Don’t assume you’re done because you clicked a button or hit send. Cleanomic typically processes cancellations within 24 to 48 hours. Watch for a confirmation email. If nothing arrives within two business days, follow up.
Then log back into the dashboard and check that your subscription status reads inactive or cancelled. The dashboard reflects the billing system directly, which makes it a more reliable check than any email promise. Review your next card or bank statement to be sure no new charge posted after the cancellation date.
Time It Before Your Next Shipment
Cleanomic ships on a recurring schedule, and canceling a few days before a scheduled delivery may not stop a box that’s already being prepared. Check your dashboard for the next shipment date and try to cancel at least a week ahead of it.
If you’re not sure you want to leave for good, look for a skip or pause option in your account settings first. Cleanomic’s subscription page says you can “manage” and “make changes” to your subscription through your account, though the specific pause options may depend on your plan.2Cleanomic. Cleanomic Subscription Pausing keeps the account open without the friction of re-enrolling later.
What to Do If You’re Charged After Canceling
If Cleanomic bills you after you’ve canceled, you have two separate remedies and you can use both.
Stop Future Charges Through Your Bank
Federal law lets you stop any preauthorized recurring electronic payment by notifying your bank or credit union at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. You can do this by phone or in writing. If you call, the bank may ask you to follow up in writing within 14 days to keep the stop-payment order in place.3Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.10 – Preauthorized Transfers This blocks Cleanomic from pulling money from your account regardless of what’s happening on their end.
Dispute a Credit Card Charge
If a credit card was charged after cancellation, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date of the billing statement to dispute in writing with your card issuer.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 US Code 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors Send the letter to the issuer’s billing inquiries address, not the payment address. Include your name, account number, the charge amount, and a statement that you canceled the subscription before the charge posted. Certified mail with return receipt gives you proof of delivery.
Once the dispute reaches the issuer, it must acknowledge within 30 days and resolve the matter within two billing cycles, up to a 90-day maximum.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 US Code 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors While the investigation runs, the issuer cannot try to collect the disputed amount or report it as delinquent. Attach the cancellation confirmation email as evidence.
Debit Card Charges
For debit card transactions, your liability for unauthorized charges is generally capped at $50 if you report the problem within two business days of discovering it.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 US Code 1693g – Consumer Liability Wait longer and the cap rises to $500. Move quickly.
Your Legal Right to a Simple Cancellation
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any business charging consumers through recurring online transactions to provide a simple way to stop future charges.6Congress.gov. Public Law 111-345 – Restore Online Shoppers Confidence Act The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule reinforces this by prohibiting sellers from failing to provide a simple cancellation mechanism and requiring them to halt charges immediately once you cancel.7Federal Trade Commission. In practical terms: if you signed up on the website, you’re entitled to cancel on the website. Cleanomic cannot route you through a retention gauntlet, require a phone call you didn’t sign up over, or ignore your request. A company that makes canceling meaningfully harder than signing up risks FTC enforcement.
