To cancel your Be Present app subscription, use your phone’s subscription settings rather than the app itself. On iPhone, that’s Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. On Android, it’s the Google Play Store > profile icon > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions. If you signed up on Be Present’s website instead of through an app store, you’ll need to contact the developer directly. The whole process takes about 30 seconds once you’re in the right place.
Before anything else, know this: uninstalling the app does not stop the charges. Google states it plainly: “When you uninstall the app, your subscription won’t cancel.”1Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play Apple works the same way.2Apple Support. How to Cancel a Subscription if I Already Deleted the App Billing continues on its normal cycle until you formally cancel.
Cancelling on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple – Section: Cancel a Subscription on Your iPhone Find Be Present in the list and tap it. The screen shows your renewal date and current plan. Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm. After confirming, the entry displays an expiration date instead of a renewal date, and your premium features remain active until that date passes.
Timing is important. Cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date, or you’ll be billed for another period. The same buffer applies during a free trial. Waiting until the final evening of a trial can still result in a charge going through.
If you see red text on the subscription screen showing an expiration message, the subscription is already cancelled. Nothing further is needed.4Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancelling on Android
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon in the top right, then select Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.1Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play Tap Be Present, then Cancel Subscription. Google may ask a quick question about why you’re leaving; pick any reason and confirm. You’ll see a message confirming the subscription will not renew at the next billing date. Premium access continues until the end of the current paid period.
Pausing Instead of Cancelling
Google Play offers a pause option for some subscriptions, typically one to three months, that halts billing without ending the subscription. Not every app supports it. If Be Present does, a “Pause payments” option appears on the same screen as the cancel button. Billing resumes automatically when the pause ends.
Cancelling From a Web Browser
You don’t need the phone in hand. If you subscribed through Apple, go to account.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and navigate to your subscriptions.4Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Find Be Present and cancel there. The 24-hour buffer before renewal still applies.
For a Google Play subscription, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions in any browser, sign into your Google account, select Be Present, and follow the prompts.1Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play The browser method is useful if you’ve already deleted the app or changed phones.
If You Subscribed on the Developer’s Website
If you signed up directly on Be Present’s site and paid through a processor like Stripe or PayPal, the app stores don’t control your billing. According to Stripe, cancellation must go through the business itself, because Stripe is not authorized to cancel on a customer’s behalf.5Stripe. Cancelling a Subscription Made Through Stripe
Search your email for the original signup receipt. It typically contains a link to manage your account or a support address. If you used PayPal, log in, go to Settings, then Payments, and revoke the automatic payment agreement for the developer. If the developer doesn’t respond, your bank or credit card issuer can dispute the charges.
Not Sure Where You Subscribed
Check your bank or credit card statement. Apple charges show as APPLE.COM/BILL. Google Play charges show as GOOGLE*BePresent or GOOGLE*PLAY. A direct purchase from the developer usually shows the company’s own name. The descriptor tells you which cancellation route to take. Stripe also offers a charge lookup tool if you can’t identify the merchant.5Stripe. Cancelling a Subscription Made Through Stripe
Getting a Refund for a Charge You Didn’t Want
If you were charged after trying to cancel, or a free trial auto-renewed unexpectedly, a refund may be possible.
- For Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the charge, and choose “Request a refund.” Apple reviews requests individually, and eligibility varies. There is no publicly stated deadline, but sooner is better.6Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
- For Google Play, refunds within the last 48 hours can typically be requested through the Play app or website. After 48 hours, Google refers you to the developer, who applies their own policies. You can only return a particular app for a refund once.7Google Play Help. Apps, Games, and In-App Purchases (Including Subscriptions) Refund Policies
If the store and the developer both say no, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charge. Screenshots or confirmation emails from your cancellation attempt strengthen the case.
Deleting Your Account and Personal Data
Cancellation stops the billing. It does not erase the information Be Present has collected. Look for a Delete Account option in the app’s account settings. If there isn’t one, email the developer a formal deletion request.
