To cancel a WPS Office subscription, turn off auto-renewal through whichever platform processed your original payment: the WPS website, Google Play, the Apple App Store, or the Microsoft Store. The step that trips most people up is assuming the app itself is the subscription. It isn’t. Deleting WPS Office from your phone or computer does not stop the charges, and both Google and Apple actually warn you about this when you try to remove a paid app. WPS support says the same thing in writing: uninstalling the software leaves the billing agreement in place, and you have to cancel auto-renewal through the account that owns the subscription.1WPS Office Help Center. Find Out Where You Bought It First
Before you cancel anything, check your original purchase receipt or your bank statement to see which company is actually billing you. The merchant name on the charge tells you what to do next. If it shows WPS or a WPS payment processor, you cancel on the WPS site. If it shows Google, Apple, or Microsoft, you cancel through that platform’s account settings. Trying to cancel a Google Play subscription through the WPS website will do nothing, because Google controls that billing relationship, not WPS.
Canceling a Subscription Bought Directly From WPS
Go to wps.com/subscription and sign in with the same account you used to buy the plan. Open the My Subscription section, find your plan, and slide the auto-renewal toggle to off.2WPS Office. Canceling Through Google Play
On Android, open the Google Play app and go to your subscriptions. You can also reach it through Settings by tapping Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account, then Payments and subscriptions. Canceling Through the Apple App Store
On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Find WPS Office in the list, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription.5Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then click Account Settings. Scroll to Subscriptions and click Manage, then cancel WPS Office from that list.6Apple Support. Canceling Through the Microsoft Store
If the purchase went through Microsoft, go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy it. Find the WPS Office subscription and select Cancel subscription (the button may read “Upgrade or Cancel”). Review the cancellation page and confirm.7Microsoft Support. Can You Get a Refund
Probably not from WPS. The company’s official policy treats the premium subscription as a virtual product that activates on purchase and states that it does not refund subscription fees, whether you used the features during the billing period or not. The only exception WPS acknowledges is an unresolvable technical problem with the software. The platform you bought through may be more flexible than WPS itself. Google Play gives you 120 days from the transaction date to report unauthorized charges.9Google Play Help. Learn About Google Play Refund Policies Apple handles refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. The platform’s own policy governs purchases made through it, not the WPS policy.
What to Do If You Are Still Being Charged After Canceling
First, confirm you canceled on the right platform. Someone who bought through Apple but toggled something off on the WPS website will still see Apple charges keep hitting the card. Look at the merchant name on your statement and match it to the steps above.
If a legitimate charge posts after a real cancellation, you have federal billing dispute rights. For credit card charges, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date of the statement containing the error to dispute it in writing with your card issuer.10Federal Trade Commission. For charges pulled directly from a bank account, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act lets you stop a preauthorized recurring transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled payment.11Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers That notice goes to your financial institution, not to WPS. You can give it orally, but the bank can require written confirmation within 14 days.
