To cancel a Uconnect subscription, call SiriusXM at 1-866-635-2349, use the SiriusXM online chat, or press the Assist button on your rearview mirror to reach an agent from inside your vehicle. Calling is the method most likely to protect any refund you’re owed, especially on an annual plan. Website cancellations often end service immediately without prorating what you’ve prepaid, so pick up the phone before you log in.
What to Have Ready Before You Call
The agent will ask for your seventeen-digit Vehicle Identification Number. You’ll find it on a small metal plate visible through the base of the windshield on the driver’s side, or on a sticker inside the driver’s door jamb. Have the email address and password tied to your Uconnect account ready too. If you’ve forgotten the password, you can reset it at the login page, but you’ll need access to the original email to get the reset link.
Pull up a recent billing statement so you know exactly which plan you’re on. Uconnect connected services are billed through SiriusXM, and the plan names don’t always match what you’d expect. SiriusXM Guardian is sold as the Navigation Package at $9.99 per month, the Assistance Package at $14.99 per month, and the Assistance + Navigation Package at $24.98 per month. Connect Wi-Fi Plus runs $17.99 per month after its free trial ends. Knowing your exact plan prevents confusion during the call and helps you verify any final charges.
Canceling by Phone or Assist Button
Dial 1-866-635-2349 to reach SiriusXM’s cancellation line, which handles all Uconnect connected services. You can also reach an agent through the SiriusXM online chat at siriusxm.com/contactus. If you’re already sitting in the vehicle, press the Assist button on the rearview mirror or overhead console to connect to a live agent who can process account changes.
The agent will verify your identity using your VIN and account details, then walk through the termination. Expect a retention pitch. Agents are trained to offer discounted rates or temporary pauses before processing a cancellation. If you’ve already decided, saying “I’d like to proceed with the cancellation” clearly and early saves time.
Once the agent confirms the cancellation, ask for a confirmation number and request that a confirmation email be sent to the address on file. Don’t assume one will arrive automatically. That email is your proof if charges keep appearing.
Canceling Through the Uconnect Website
You can log in at login.driveuconnect.com or through the Mopar Owner’s site at mopar.com to manage the account online. After signing in, go to your vehicle profile, where active subscriptions and renewal dates are listed. Select the plan you want to cancel and follow the prompts to confirm termination.
Here’s the catch. Forum reports from subscribers who canceled annual plans online suggest that website cancellations may immediately end service without issuing a refund for the remaining months. One subscriber who paid roughly $179 for an annual Assistance Package reported losing the rest of the subscription period after canceling through the site, while phone agents were willing to process a prorated refund in the same situation. If you’re on an annual plan with months left, call.
Refund Windows
Whether you get money back depends on your plan type and how quickly you act. For quarterly or annual plans, you can get a prorated refund if you cancel within 30 days of the subscription start date or a renewal charge. After that 30-day window closes, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refund is issued. Monthly plans have a similar seven-day window at the start of the initial subscription, but subsequent monthly renewals are non-refundable once they process.
Infotainment and connected vehicle plans may follow slightly different terms. The SiriusXM customer agreement states that cancellations for these plans take effect on the date SiriusXM receives your request, with a prorated refund of any prepaid amount less applicable fees. Phone agents have more flexibility to apply those refunds than the website does. If you receive a refund, allow a full billing cycle for it to appear on your statement, and keep the confirmation email and any reference numbers until the credit posts.
What Stops Working and What Keeps Working
Cancellation removes your ability to use the Uconnect mobile app for remote commands. No more starting the engine from your phone, remotely locking or unlocking doors, or using the vehicle finder in parking lots. In-app drive alerts, monthly vehicle health reports, and smartwatch or Alexa integrations also go dark.
Some things survive. Your key fob still works for remote start within its normal range. The built-in navigation system continues to function, though it may stop receiving map updates. The Connect ONE safety and security features, including stolen vehicle tracking and SOS assistance, remain active for their full ten-year enrollment period whether or not you keep a paid subscription. If stolen vehicle assistance was your main reason for paying, you may already have it covered at no charge.
One boundary worth naming: trial subscriptions don’t roll into paid plans on their own. If your trial simply ended and you never subscribed, there’s nothing to cancel and no charge coming.
If You’re Selling or Trading In the Vehicle
Canceling the subscription alone doesn’t clear your personal data. Your Uconnect account stores saved addresses, location history, and stored contacts that the next owner could access through the infotainment system.
Call the Uconnect support line and request a “Return To New” reset. This deletes personal data stored on the company’s servers, including any Digital Keys you’ve set up. If you added a Digital Key to your phone, remove it separately through Apple Wallet or your Android device wallet before handing the vehicle over.
Then perform a factory reset on the infotainment system itself. Press the temperature up and temperature down buttons on the dash at the same time and hold them for at least five seconds. A menu will appear on the touchscreen. Select the option to reset to factory settings and wait about 30 seconds for the system to reboot. That wipes your presets, paired Bluetooth devices, and any locally stored personal data from the head unit.
For data Stellantis has already collected on its servers, submit a Data Subject Access Request through the company’s privacy portal to request deletion. You can also disconnect remote vehicle access through the Stellantis customer portal at fcagroup.my.site.com.
