Cancelling Early for Relocation, Disability, or Death

Freezing Is Not the Same as Cancelling

After You Mail the Letter
Once your certified letter is on its way, do three things:

- File the certified mail receipt and the return receipt card. These prove the date TruFit received your notice, which is the only date that matters for the 30-day clock.
- Watch your bank or card statements for at least two full billing cycles past your expected end date. One final payment inside the notice window is normal. A second is not.
Stopping Charges if Billing Continues
If drafts keep hitting after your cancellation should have taken effect, you can stop them at your bank. Federal law lets you revoke authorization for a preauthorized electronic fund transfer by notifying your financial institution at least three business days before the next scheduled payment.
