To cancel a Transkriptor subscription, use the same channel you signed up through: switch to the free plan inside the Transkriptor website dashboard, or cancel through Apple, Google Play, or PayPal if you subscribed there. Using the wrong channel leaves the charge active, so identify where you originally paid before you start.
Cancel on the Transkriptor Website
If you subscribed directly on transkriptor.com, the cancellation happens inside your dashboard by downgrading to the free tier:
- Click the settings icon on the left side of your profile.
- Under General, select Billing.
- Click Change Plan and choose “Free – 90 Minutes.”
- Click Continue and follow the on-screen prompts.
Selecting the free plan stops automatic renewals for future billing cycles immediately.1Transkriptor. Transkriptor Pricing – Affordable AI Transcription You keep paid features until the current period ends, so there’s no reason to wait until the last day.
Take a screenshot of the confirmation showing you’ve moved to the free plan. If a charge appears afterward, that screenshot is the fastest way to resolve a dispute with support or your bank.
Cancel Through Apple
If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, Transkriptor cannot cancel it for you. Apple controls the billing:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Transkriptor.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Apple processes the change immediately, and you keep access until the current period expires.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancel Through Google Play
Android subscribers cancel through Google, not through the Transkriptor app:
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions.
- Select Transkriptor and tap Cancel subscription.
Google shows a final confirmation before processing the change.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel a PayPal Billing Agreement
If you paid through PayPal, a separate billing agreement may keep charging you regardless of what you do inside the Transkriptor dashboard. Stop it at the source:
- Log in to PayPal and go to Settings.
- Click Payments.
- Select Automatic Payments (or Subscriptions and saved businesses).
- Find Transkriptor in the list.
- Click Cancel to stop future payments.4PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One
After canceling through PayPal, also switch to the free plan inside Transkriptor so your account status stays consistent.
Free Trial Deadlines
Free trials auto-convert to paid subscriptions, and each platform sets its own cutoff. Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple For Google Play, a 48-hour cushion before renewal is safer. On both platforms, canceling early still lets you use the remaining trial days, so there’s nothing to gain by waiting. On the Transkriptor website itself, downgrading to the free plan stops renewals immediately.
What Happens After You Cancel
Cancellation does not lock you out the same day. Paid features stay active through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Once that period ends, the account drops to the free tier with 90 minutes of transcription.1Transkriptor. Transkriptor Pricing – Affordable AI Transcription
Unused paid minutes expire one month from the date you were charged, not from the date you cancel.1Transkriptor. Transkriptor Pricing – Affordable AI Transcription There’s no rollover. Use them before they disappear if you have a project coming up.
Existing transcripts stay accessible. But if you configured an automatic deletion window on your files, that setting keeps running regardless of subscription status; Transkriptor allows auto-deletion anywhere from one minute to one year.5Transkriptor. Refunds
If you subscribed on the website, Transkriptor offers a 14-day cooling-off period from the purchase date, provided the service hasn’t been used. If you’ve already started transcribing, eligibility shrinks based on how much you’ve consumed. Refunds are processed within about seven working days of the cancellation request. If the standard process stalls, contact customer@transkriptor.com with your original receipt and a screenshot of your cancellation confirmation.
For Apple subscriptions, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, choose “Request a refund,” pick your reason, and select the Transkriptor charge. Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.6Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple Getting a refund and canceling the subscription are separate actions; a refund does not stop future charges on its own.
For Google Play, refund requests are accepted within 48 hours of the charge. After that, Google redirects you to the developer, meaning you’ll need to contact Transkriptor directly.7Google Play Help. Apps, Games, and In-App Purchases (Including Subscriptions) Refund Policies
Deleting Your Account
Canceling stops future charges but leaves your account and data in place. To remove everything, log in to the dashboard, click your profile icon in the top-right, select “Delete My Account,” and confirm. The account and all associated data are removed at the end of your current billing cycle.8Transkriptor Help Center.
