To cancel a Tracelo subscription, go to tracelo.com/en/cancel-subscription, enter the email address you used to sign up, and submit. Auto-renewal shuts off immediately and no future charges will post.1Tracelo. Cancel Your Subscription The one exception: if you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through the store, not through Tracelo.
Cancel on the Tracelo Website
The cancellation page needs only the email you signed up with. Type it in, submit, and the system turns off auto-renewal on the spot.1Tracelo. Cancel Your Subscription
If you created your account using Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in rather than a standalone email and password, the same page offers one-click buttons for each. Use the one that matches how you enrolled.1Tracelo. Cancel Your Subscription
Can’t remember which email you used? The page has a link to contact Tracelo support, which is listed as available 24 hours a day. Have a confirmation email or a bank statement showing the charge ready, since the agent will use that to find your account.
Cancel Through Apple or Google
If you subscribed from inside the Tracelo app, the subscription is managed by Apple or Google. Submitting the cancellation form on Tracelo’s site won’t stop those charges, and deleting the app from your phone won’t either.
iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Find Tracelo in the list, open it, and tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll to see the button. If a red message says the subscription has already expired, it’s already canceled.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
One timing trap: if you’re inside a free or discounted trial that you started through Apple, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancel after that and you’ll be charged for the first full billing cycle.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Android
Open the Google Play Store app, go to Subscriptions, select Tracelo, and tap Cancel Subscription. Google won’t refund payments you’ve already made, but no new charges will post.3Google Pay Help. Manage Recurring Payments and Subscriptions
What Happens Right After You Cancel
Tracelo’s page says entering your email “immediately” turns off auto-renewal. You generally keep access through the end of the billing cycle you already paid for. Tracelo runs a 24-hour trial followed by a monthly subscription, so after canceling, your access runs out at the end of the current month.1Tracelo. Cancel Your Subscription
Save the confirmation email or a screenshot of the cancellation page. Then check your bank or card statement on the next billing date. This is where most people get caught: they cancel, assume it stuck, and don’t look again until several charges have piled up.
If Charges Keep Appearing: Stop Payment at Your Bank
If you’ve canceled and charges still post, or you can’t get into your account to cancel at all, your bank can block the merchant directly. Under the federal rules governing electronic fund transfers, your financial institution must honor a stop-payment order on a preauthorized recurring charge as long as you notify them at least three business days before the next scheduled payment. If you call it in orally, the bank can require written confirmation within 14 days; without that follow-up, the oral order may expire.4Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Official Interpretations for Regulation E – 1005.10 Preauthorized Transfers
Once the bank has a valid stop-payment order, it must block future debits from that merchant and can’t wait for the merchant to turn the payments off on its end. This covers debit card charges and direct debits from checking. For a credit card, call the number on the back and ask them to block future recurring charges from Tracelo; the practical result is the same.
Dispute a Charge That Already Posted
If an unauthorized charge hit your credit card after you canceled, you can dispute it as a billing error. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have to send a written dispute to your card issuer within 60 days of the statement date that first shows the charge. The notice must include your name, account number, the amount, and why you believe it’s wrong.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. United States Code Title 15 – 1666 Correction of Billing Errors
The 60-day deadline is strict. Miss it and the issuer has no legal obligation to investigate, even if the charge is clearly wrong. Send the written dispute to the address your issuer designates for billing inquiries, not the payment address or general customer service. Most issuers also let you open a dispute in the app or on their website, which is faster; following up in writing preserves your full rights under the statute.
For a debit card, the process runs through your bank under Regulation E instead of the FCBA, but the steps are similar: notify the bank, send proof of the cancellation, and ask for a reversal.
Delete Your Personal Data
Canceling stops the billing. It doesn’t erase the personal information Tracelo collected while you were a customer. To remove that, make a separate deletion request.
Check Tracelo’s privacy policy for a dedicated email address or form for data deletion. Under frameworks like the GDPR for European users and several U.S. state privacy laws, companies generally must respond within 30 days, with possible extensions for complex requests. Include the email address tied to your account, and say explicitly that you want all personal data deleted, not just the account deactivated. Keep a copy of what you sent and any reply you get.
