To cancel Total Drive and get a refund, log in to your account, submit a cancellation request, click the verification link Total Drive emails you, and then request your refund within the window that applies to your plan. Two details decide whether this works: you have to fully terminate the subscription rather than just switch off auto-renewal, and you have to act inside the refund window that starts on your purchase or renewal date.
Turning Off Auto-Renewal Is Not the Same as Canceling
Disabling auto-renewal stops the next charge but leaves your current subscription running until the paid period ends. It does not terminate the account and it does not trigger a refund. Total Drive’s own policy states that canceling by turning off auto-renewal “will not end your access or automatically trigger a refund.”1Total Drive. If you want money back, you need to fully terminate the plan and then request the refund. Choose the wrong option in the account portal and you can miss the refund window while the clock keeps running.
Back Up Your Files First
Once your plan is terminated and any refund is approved, access to Total Drive’s cloud storage ends immediately.1Total Drive. Download every photo, document, and video you want to keep, and move them to a local drive or another cloud service before you start the cancellation.
How to Cancel the Subscription
Sign in to your account on the Total Drive website or help portal and open the subscription management section. You should see an option to cancel the account there.2Total Drive. Billing Support
After you submit the request, Total Drive sends a verification email. Click the link inside it to confirm the cancellation. Nothing happens on your account until you follow that link, so if you skip it your subscription stays active. Check your spam folder if the email does not appear within a few minutes.3Total Drive. Refund Windows by Plan
Total Drive gives you a fixed number of days from your purchase or renewal date to ask for a refund:
- Annual and biannual plans: 30 days from the initial purchase or renewal date for a full refund.
- Monthly, quarterly, and add-on services: 14 days from the initial purchase or renewal date, even when the add-on is billed annually.
The clock starts on the purchase or renewal date, not the date you submit the cancellation. Miss it and the refund is forfeited.5Total Drive. Refunds and Money-Back Guarantee And you have to fully terminate the subscription to qualify; just disabling auto-renewal does not count.
How Long the Refund Takes
Most approved refunds are processed within 24 to 48 hours, though it can take up to 10 working days depending on your payment provider.5Total Drive. Refunds and Money-Back Guarantee The money returns to the payment method you originally used.
If nothing has arrived after 10 working days, contact Total Drive support through the help center. A screenshot of the cancellation confirmation and the verification email are useful evidence that you completed the process inside the refund window.
If You Keep Getting Charged
The most common reason charges continue is an incomplete cancellation, so first confirm you actually clicked the verification link. If you did and the billing keeps going, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charge. Most issuers let you dispute recurring charges that should have stopped, and your cancellation email is your evidence.
