How to Cancel Superprof Subscription: Web, Apple, Google, PayPal

To cancel a Superprof subscription, you have to go back to wherever the signup happened: the Superprof website cancels through your account dashboard, an iPhone signup cancels through Apple, and an Android signup cancels through Google Play. Cancelling in the wrong place won’t stop the charges, and neither will deleting the app.

Find Out Who Is Actually Billing You

Three systems can be charging you: Superprof directly, Apple, or Google Play. Some accounts also run through PayPal as the payment method. Each one has its own cancellation path.

Check the original purchase confirmation email or your bank statement. A charge labeled “Apple” or “Google” tells you the app store is handling billing. A charge labeled “Superprof” means the website is billing your card. If you paid through PayPal, look in PayPal for an active automatic payment agreement with Superprof.

Cancel on the Superprof Website

Log in and open the Student Pass tab on your dashboard. The page shows your subscription status, expiration date, and remaining days. Click the Suspend button. The wording is odd, but suspending stops the recurring charge and blocks the next renewal.1Superprof. Manage My Student Pass

You keep your Student Pass benefits through the end of the current 30-day billing period. Superprof’s subscription is non-binding, so you can cancel at any point, but you won’t get a prorated refund for unused days.1Superprof. Manage My Student Pass

Cancel Through Apple

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, the Superprof website can’t help. Apple controls the billing.

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap the Superprof entry.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If you’re on a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged for the next cycle.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

Cancel Through Google Play

Android signups go through Google Play.

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon in the upper right.
  • Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  • Tap the Superprof subscription.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Google may ask why you’re cancelling. Answer or skip. Keep tapping until you see confirmation that the subscription won’t renew.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Cancel a PayPal Automatic Payment

If you paid through PayPal, Superprof may have set up a recurring billing agreement that survives on the PayPal side even after you suspend on the dashboard. Check it directly. On the PayPal website, go to Settings, click Payments, select Automatic payments, find Superprof, and cancel the agreement. In the PayPal app, tap Menu, then Subscriptions or Linked Businesses, find Superprof, and tap Unlink.4PayPal. How To Cancel Recurring Payments in 4 Ways

Deleting the App Will Not Cancel Anything

This is the mistake that keeps charging people. Removing the Superprof app from your phone has no effect on your subscription. Apple and Google manage app store subscriptions independently of whether the app is installed. Cancel first through the right channel, then delete the app if you want to.

Confirm the Cancellation and Keep the Proof

Look for a confirmation email from Superprof, Apple, or Google, whichever path you used. On the Superprof dashboard, the Student Pass tab should show a pending expiration date instead of an active renewal. On Apple and Google Play, the subscription page should show an expiration date rather than a renewal date.

Save the confirmation. If a charge shows up on your statement after cancellation, that email or screenshot is your evidence for a dispute with your bank or card issuer. Under the FTC’s click-to-cancel rule, sellers of recurring subscriptions must provide a simple cancellation mechanism and stop charges after you cancel.5Federal Trade Commission. If the Cancellation Doesn’t Go Through

Sometimes the dashboard misbehaves, or the Suspend button doesn’t appear. Email Superprof support at hey@superprof.com. Include your account email, the date you want the subscription to end, and a clear statement that you’re requesting cancellation. Keep a copy.

If support doesn’t respond, or if charges continue after a confirmed cancellation, file a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most issuers will dispute recurring charges that continued after cancellation, especially with written proof of the request. PayPal users can open the same kind of dispute through the Resolution Center inside their PayPal account.
