How to Cancel Short TV Subscription on Any Device

To cancel a Short TV subscription, go to the platform that actually charges you — Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon — and cancel there. The Short TV app itself does not process the payment, so canceling inside the app will not stop future charges. Get the billing platform right and the cancellation is quick; get it wrong and the charges keep coming.

Find Out Who Is Actually Billing You

Check your bank or credit card statement for the exact name on the charge. “Apple.com/bill” means Apple is the biller. “GOOGLE*ShortTV” or “Google Play” points to Google. You may also see “Roku” or “Amazon” if you signed up through one of those. Whoever appears on the statement is the only company that can stop the recurring charge.

If the label is unclear, open the Short TV app and check the account or wallet section for whether you’re on a subscription plan or just buying coins. That distinction matters: canceling a subscription stops future recurring charges, but it does nothing to coins you’ve already purchased.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

If Apple bills you, cancel from your device settings, not the Short TV app.

  • Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  • Find Short TV in the list of active subscriptions. You’ll see the renewal date and price.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. If there’s no cancel button and you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled.

You keep access until the current billing period ends and won’t be charged after that. One catch: if you signed up through a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first full billing cycle. Waiting until the last day of a trial and assuming you have until midnight is how most accidental charges happen.

Cancel on Android Through Google Play

Android subscriptions are managed inside the Google Play Store app.

  • Open Google Play and tap your profile icon in the upper corner. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  • Tap Short TV to see your billing details.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

Google recommends canceling at least 48 hours before your renewal date so the next charge doesn’t go through. You keep access through the end of the period already paid for.

Cancel Through Roku

If you subscribed on a Roku device, you have two paths:

  • On the web, go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, find Short TV under active subscriptions, click Manage subscription, and select Turn off auto-renew.
  • On the device, highlight the Short TV app, press the Star button on the remote, select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.

Roku does not issue partial-term refunds. Access continues until the current billing cycle ends, and no further charges apply after that.

Cancel Through Amazon Prime Video

Some subscribers access Short TV as an add-on channel through Amazon Prime Video.

  • Visit amazon.com/myac and select Your subscriptions from the top menu.
  • Find the Short TV channel subscription.
  • Select Unsubscribe and confirm.

Amazon handles these separately from Apple and Google. If your statement shows an Amazon charge for Short TV, this is the only route that will stop it.

Coins Are Not Part of the Subscription

Short TV also sells virtual coins used to unlock individual episodes. Canceling your subscription does not affect coins you’ve already bought, and spent coins are gone regardless. Per the app’s terms, coin balances cannot be transferred, gifted, or refunded unless the paid service is unusable because of a problem on Short TV’s end. Bonus coins from promotions carry an expiration date shown in the wallet.

How to Request a Refund

Canceling stops future charges. If you were billed after you thought you’d canceled, or charged for something you didn’t authorize, request the refund from the platform that processed the payment.

  • Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the charge in your purchase history, and select Request a refund. Apple reviews each request individually and approval isn’t guaranteed.
  • Google Play: use the refund workflow at support.google.com/googleplay/workflow/9813244. Google’s window for automatic subscription refunds is short, so file as soon as you see the charge.

Neither Apple nor Google refunds coin purchases for a change of mind. Refund processes are for billing errors and unauthorized charges.

What to Do If Charges Continue After You Cancel

Charges usually keep appearing for one of three reasons: the cancellation was done inside the Short TV app instead of through the billing platform, the cancellation didn’t fully process, or there are multiple accounts tied to different payment methods.

If the subscription shows as canceled in Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon and charges continue, dispute the charge with your credit card company or bank. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date the first bill containing the error was sent to dispute it in writing. Send the dispute to the billing inquiries address on your statement, not the payment address, and include your name, account number, a description of the problem, and copies of your cancellation confirmation.

Your card issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. While the investigation is open, the issuer cannot try to collect the disputed amount or report it as delinquent.

Take a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation the moment you finish. If you later need to prove you canceled before a particular renewal date, that screenshot will do more for you than your memory of the moment.
