To cancel a Resume Leader subscription, log in and cancel from your account settings, or email support@resumeleader.com and ask for cancellation. If you signed up through Apple, Google Play, or PayPal, you also have to cancel the billing agreement on that platform, or the charges will keep coming even after Resume Leader closes your subscription on its end.1Resume Leader. Cancel From Your Account Settings
Log in to Resume Leader, open your account settings or billing tab, and choose the cancellation option. The company’s subscription terms state that you can cancel “in the settings of your account,” so the option should be available from your dashboard without contacting anyone.1Resume Leader. Canceling turns off auto-renewal. It does not cut you off immediately. You keep access to paid features through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and no new charge posts at the next renewal date.1Resume Leader. Subscription Terms
Cancel by Emailing Support
If the in-account option isn’t working, email support@resumeleader.com and request cancellation. Include the email address on your account and any order or account ID from your original confirmation receipt so support can locate the subscription.1Resume Leader. Subscription Terms
Save what you get back. A reply from support confirming the cancellation, or a screenshot of the cancellation screen inside your account, is the evidence you will need if a charge shows up later.
The 24-Hour Trial Deadline
Resume Leader’s trial converts to a paid subscription automatically. To avoid the charge, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Miss that window and you are billed the full subscription price shown on your original payment screen.1Resume Leader. Subscription Terms
Trial length and price appear during signup. If you didn’t note them, check your confirmation email or the billing section of your account, and set a reminder a couple of days before the trial expires so the 24-hour cutoff isn’t the thing you’re racing.
Cancel Third-Party Billing
If you subscribed through an app store or payment platform rather than Resume Leader’s own checkout, canceling inside Resume Leader alone may not stop the charges. The platform processing the payment holds the billing agreement, and you have to cancel there too.
Apple (iPhone or iPad)
Open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Select Resume Leader and choose Cancel Subscription.2Apple Support. See Your Purchases and Subscriptions in the App Store on iPhone
Google Play (Android)
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, and select Payments & Subscriptions. Choose Resume Leader and tap Cancel Subscription. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
PayPal
Log in to PayPal, open Settings, click Payments, and open Automatic Payments (sometimes labeled “Subscriptions and saved businesses”). Find the Resume Leader merchant listing and cancel the agreement.3PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One
Refunds After You Cancel
Resume Leader’s terms say purchases are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless applicable law requires otherwise. Canceling partway through a paid month does not get you money back for the unused days; you keep access until the period ends and that is the extent of it.1Resume Leader. Subscription Terms
EU consumers are the meaningful exception. They have a 14-day right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, and Resume Leader is required to reimburse them within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice. If you agreed to start using the service immediately during that withdrawal window and acknowledged you would lose the withdrawal right, the refund can be limited to a prorated amount for services not yet delivered.1Resume Leader. If You’re Still Being Charged
Watch your bank or card statements for at least two billing cycles after you cancel. If a charge posts after your confirmed cancellation, the confirmation email or screenshot you saved is your evidence.
For a credit card charge, federal law gives you 60 days from the date the statement containing the error was sent to file a written billing dispute with your card issuer. The issuer cannot try to collect the disputed amount or report it as delinquent while it investigates.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors For a debit card or bank account charge, use your bank’s dispute process and contact them as soon as you spot the charge, because the timelines are tighter and reporting sooner limits your liability.
You can also file a complaint at ReportFraud.ftc.gov if the company continues billing after a confirmed cancellation. The form asks for payment method, amounts, and dates, and issues a report number.5Federal Trade Commission. How to Report Fraud at ReportFraud.ftc.gov Separately, the FTC’s click-to-cancel rule requires businesses that sell subscriptions to offer a cancellation process at least as simple as signup. If you signed up online, the company cannot require a phone call or a chat with a retention agent to let you cancel.6eCFR. 16 CFR 425.6 – Simple Cancellation (Click to Cancel) A cancellation path that is noticeably harder than the signup path is worth mentioning in the FTC complaint.
Deleting Your Account and Data
Canceling stops future charges. It does not delete your account contents. Your resume drafts, contact details, and payment history can remain on file. To have your personal data removed, email support@resumeleader.com and specifically request deletion.7Resume Leader. Privacy Policy Depending on your state, you may have an additional right under a comprehensive privacy law to demand deletion, and your state attorney general or consumer protection office is the escalation point if the company does not respond in a reasonable time.
