How to Cancel Project Broadcast: Website, Email, or App Store

To cancel Project Broadcast, log into your account at app.projectbroadcast.com and end the subscription from your settings, or email support@projectbroadcast.com and ask the support team to close it. If you originally subscribed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through that platform instead. Fees already paid are nonrefundable, so time the cancellation around your renewal date if you can.1Project Broadcast. Project Broadcast Terms and Conditions

Check a Few Things First

Find out where your subscription was purchased. If you signed up on the Project Broadcast website, cancel there. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, those platforms control the billing and the website cannot cancel it for you. Uninstalling the app does nothing to stop charges.

Check your billing cycle date. Monthly plans run from $8 to $160 depending on tier, with enterprise levels going higher, and annual plans are billed upfront for the full year. Canceling mid-term on an annual plan will not generate a prorated refund, so many subscribers wait until closer to renewal.

Export anything you want to keep before you cancel. Once the account goes inactive, your contact lists, message templates, and campaign data become inaccessible. Pull your contacts, save your templates, and download any performance data you need. Broadcast credits expire with the subscription and cannot be cashed out or transferred.

Cancel Through the Website

Log into app.projectbroadcast.com from a desktop or laptop browser. Open the settings area and find the subscription section, which displays your current plan and renewal date. Select the cancellation option and follow the prompts to confirm. You may be asked why you’re leaving before the request processes.

After the final confirmation, your dashboard should update to show a pending cancellation or inactive status. The service typically stays available through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and no further charges should post after that.

Cancel by Email

If you can’t locate the cancellation control, or you want a written record, email support@projectbroadcast.com and request cancellation. Include enough identifying information (the account email, business name, phone number on file) for support to find your account. Project Broadcast’s terms allow up to seven days to process an email cancellation request.1Project Broadcast. Project Broadcast Terms and Conditions

That seven-day window matters if your renewal is close. Send the email well before the next billing date, and save the reply as confirmation.

Cancel Through Apple or Google Play

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are controlled by those platforms, not by Project Broadcast.

On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name at the top, go to Subscriptions, select Project Broadcast, and tap Cancel Subscription.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple On Android, open the Google Play app, go to your subscriptions, select Project Broadcast, and tap Cancel Subscription.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play Deleting the app from your phone does not stop billing.

Refunds and Credits

Project Broadcast’s terms state that if your service is suspended, canceled, or terminated before the end of the current term, all fees paid are nonrefundable, and refunds are not provided under any circumstances.1Project Broadcast. Project Broadcast Terms and Conditions Monthly subscribers keep access through the end of the paid month. Annual subscribers do not get the unused portion back.

Any broadcast credits still on the account expire when the subscription ends. There is no mechanism to redeem or move them.

Confirm the Cancellation Went Through

Watch for a confirmation email from Project Broadcast, or from Apple or Google if you canceled through the platform. Keep it. Log back in and verify the dashboard shows an inactive or canceled status.

Monitor your bank or credit card statements for at least one full billing cycle. If a charge posts after your confirmed cancellation date, contact support@projectbroadcast.com first. If that doesn’t resolve it, file a billing dispute with your card issuer. Most issuers allow disputes within 60 days of the statement date showing the charge.

If You’re Taking a Business Number With You

If you’ve been running SMS campaigns on a number issued through Project Broadcast and you want to keep it, start the port with your new provider before you cancel. Federal rules require the losing carrier to release the number when the new provider submits a port request, and simple ports must complete within one business day.4eCFR. 47 CFR 52.35 – Porting Intervals

The FCC advises against terminating your existing service first, because the new provider handles the transfer.5Federal Communications Commission. Porting: Keeping Your Phone Number When You Change Providers Canceling Project Broadcast before the port completes can mean losing the number. An outstanding balance is not a lawful reason for the old provider to block the port.

Keep Your Opt-Out Records

Canceling the platform does not erase your legal obligations from the campaigns you ran on it. Federal rules require you to retain opt-out records for five years from the date each request was made, including the person’s name, phone number, the date of the request, and what you were selling or promoting.6eCFR. 16 CFR 310.5 – Recordkeeping Requirements

Export your opt-out list before closing the account and store it somewhere you’ll still be able to reach after the account goes dark. If you’re moving to a different SMS provider, import those opt-outs on day one. Messaging someone who already told you to stop creates exposure under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and losing the records in a platform switch is not a defense regulators accept.
