To cancel a Plex subscription, go to whichever service billed you. If Plex charged your card or PayPal directly, cancel on the Plex website. If the charge came from Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku, you have to cancel inside that platform’s subscription manager, because Plex can’t turn off a subscription an app store is billing on its behalf.1Plex Support. Cancel on the Plex Website
Sign in at app.plex.tv, click your profile icon in the top-right corner, and choose Account Settings. Open Subscription & Payments, click Manage, and select the option to cancel automatic renewal.1Plex Support. Plex Subscription Management
If the Subscription & Payments page shows no active subscription even though you’re being charged, you didn’t sign up through Plex directly. Go to the relevant app store instead.
Cancel Through Apple
On an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Plex, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription. Scroll down if you don’t see the cancel button right away.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancel Through Google Play

Cancel Through Amazon
Open the Your Memberships and Subscriptions page in your Amazon account. Find Plex, click Manage Subscription, and choose Cancel Subscription under Advanced Controls.4Amazon. Manage Your Amazon Subscriptions
Cancel Through Roku
From the Roku home screen, highlight the Plex app with the arrow buttons on your remote, press the Star button, and choose Manage subscription. You can see the renewal date and cancel from there.5Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku
What Happens After You Cancel
Canceling stops future charges. It doesn’t cut you off right away. Your Plex Pass features stay active through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and then the account drops to the free tier.1Plex Support. Plex Subscription Management Your Plex account itself, your media library, and your watch history stay put. Canceling a subscription is not the same as deleting the account.
On the free tier, you lose Plex Pass features tied to an active subscription, including remote streaming outside your home network, hardware transcoding, offline downloads, Skip Intro and Credits, Plex Home managed accounts, Plex Dash, and members-only Plexamp features.6Plex. After canceling, go back to the Subscription & Payments page (or the app store’s subscription list) and confirm the cancellation registered. If a future billing date is still showing with a scheduled charge, the cancellation may not have gone through. A screenshot of the canceled status is worth keeping in case a charge appears later.
Refunds
Plex bills subscription fees in advance and treats them as non-refundable. No refunds or credits are issued for partial months, plan changes, or unused time. Subscribers in the EU or UK can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a refund by contacting the Plex billing team.7Plex. Subscriptions and Rentals
If an app store billed you, the refund window belongs to that store, not to Plex. Google Play generally allows refund requests within 48 hours of purchase.8Google Play Help. If You Have a Lifetime Plex Pass
A Lifetime Plex Pass is a one-time payment with no recurring subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. Plex’s non-refundable policy applies here too, and the longer ago you bought it, the less likely any exception becomes.7Plex. Subscriptions and Rentals
If You Can’t Find Your Subscription
The most common snag is looking for the cancel button in the wrong place. If your Plex account shows no active subscription but the charges keep coming, check your bank or card statement for the merchant name. Apple, Google, Amazon, and Roku each bill under their own name, and each requires you to cancel inside their own subscription manager.
